Very quiet smooth running motor and transmission are both in sound condition.veh report skeaks for itself.  there are no surprises or anything to be done with this van its just in great shape besides just some minor cosmetic things like paint is a little rough upon close inspection. the driver seat belt ripped in spots but intact.1 signal light is loose in its mount, all lights and wires in operative condition. Van is currently registered through may. You will need to register it soon.
This vehicle was a usps mail delivery van only used for special deliveries and sat mostly since new while recieving regular maintenance, all original manuals come with van along with maintenance record booklet. the government takes good care of thier vehicles. used mostly highway miles. the mileage is original with a zero in front of 48.000. the only repair needed is the rear passenger side vent window got shot by a bb gun and shattered so it is covered strongly for higway driving with strong hard plastic.I will pay for window out of final auction final price at lowest ebay auction for window. instalation is simple just 4 bolts and slide it in place. manual hinge for venting. i retain the seal in good condition..i can send you a pic of the covering as i was only allowed 4 pics, upon request.      kelly blue book rating above $3500 in current condition and specs.  van has an a plus veh report included in this listing.
. It is a cargo van with rubber pad flooring in back covering floor was set up for cargo with a locking cage and seperator door behind seats so this van would be an awesome work van. with good gas mileage of 25mpg hwy 18 in town. I am the 1st title holder as it was government vehicle. i recieved it at government auction.im selling it due to i got a motorcycle and thats all i need. van was smogged 8 months ago with flying colors. it will pass easily. i drove her to chico from santa barbara beautifully so the van is sound and reliable for at least 100k more miles or more i would expect. the motor is a very strong 6 cylynder when you step on the gas she sounds like a new car with lots of go power. so besides cosmetic cleanup you will have yourself a dependable work van or just a good daily transportation.please feel free to call me to set up a viewing and i will ship if you set it all up i havent done that before so work with me on that thank you and good luck.its just such a great van i hate to let her go. she was truely not used much and the vehicle report shows that and is corroberated with my info so you can trust this is an honest auction and the reserve price is set well below the actual kelly blue book rating price. have fun with he she is comfortable and has one of the best crash safety reports also. would be a great reliable first car for teenager. and i say that with honesty, i wouldnt give you any less than what i would want for my own kids or family members safety and reliability on the road. :) if you would buy it at the buy it now price its worth it to get this van before someone else wins her. heres your chance at a true deal....

Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond

Thu, Dec 28 2017

Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.

2024 Porsche Panamera; Rivian's surprise; Cadillac electrifies V | Autoblog Podcast #823

Fri, Mar 15 2024

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They start off discussing a couple of vehicles they've both driven — the 2024 Ford Maverick Tremor and the 2024 Volvo C40 Recharge 2WD. From there, they pivot to Byron's first drive of the 2024 Porsche Panamera, and then from there it's on to more electrified luxury in the form of the new Cadillac Lyriq. After that, it's on to news. Rivian made a big splash last week. Not to be upstaged, Cadillac decided to get in on the action by teasing an electric V model, the Opulent Velocity Concept. After that, it's time for a future classic; this week, it's the Dodge Magnum. They end the episode by spending listener Isaiah's money on some used stick-shift transportation.  Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. New 2020 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator recalled for minor safety issues

Wed, Aug 7 2019

Ford has announced a small recall on 2020 Explorers and 2020 Lincoln Aviators. Select units might be missing a manual park release cover, while others might have instrument clusters stuck in Factory Mode. The recall affects 14,135 SUVs in total.  While a vehicle is in production in a manufacturing facility, Ford might put them in what is known as Factory Mode to help reduce battery drain. Affecting the instrument cluster, this mode disables warning alerts, warning chimes, and does not show the PRNDL gear selector display. Ford says one vehicle was in an accident at a production facility as a result of the issue, but nobody was injured.  Separately, Ford found that some of these Explorers and Aviators might be lacking a manual park release cover. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards require a manual park release cover that is only removable with a tool. Without the cover, there is a very minor chance the manual park release could be accidentally actuated, which could allow the vehicle to move on its own.  The recalls affect 13,896 vehicles in the U.S. and 239 in Canada. The Explorers were built between March 27, 2019, and July 24, 2019. The Aviators were built between April 10, 2019, and July 24, 2019. Owners can use Ford's recall number 19C06, and if affected, can take their vehicles in for fixes.
