1972 Ford Torino 4 Door 302 5.0 C4 Auto No Reserve Auto Very Nice Unrestored Oem on 2040-cars
McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for your consideration of ownership is about the cleanest
1972 Ford Torino 4 door. Yes it’s a 4
door but it sure is sweet! This car is
super solid and only has 51,400 miles. Perfect for an entry level collector car
or a great daily driver for that collector who cannot get enough and who
doesn’t want to drive their 2 door, convertible or collectable daily. This is my fathers car and we are selling it
because his 55 Thunderbird has taken up the garage spot. Storage has been lost to the little
bird. New parts on the 72 less than 1100 miles ago. $2100 invested into my dad’s car to make it a
good diver…..Little did I know he would rather drive a t-bird convertible!
HAHA. Brake shoes Brake Pads Fresh valve job Valves Seats Retainers Guides New 2V carburetor Fresh plugs Tune up All of these new parts were put on last year and then the
car was parked. To be a good daily
driver or ready for shows you will need to put new tires on the car. They have plenty of tread but they are
dry. I drive the car around the
neighborhood but wouldn’t go any further than that due to their dryness. Also when you purchase you do need to
trailer the car. Tires are dry and fuel
is old. I would drain the tank and have
fresh fuel added. Sometimes the car
starts to miss due to bad fuel we believe.
It had almost a full tank of fuel that is over a year old. I try to run the car and drive it around as
much as I can when I get time. I just
simply do not have the time to change the fuel out or spend any time working on
the car. I have 3 restoration projects
currently. Please look closely at these pictures. The paint on this car is SUPER NICE! It appears some parts have been repainted but
they did a great job! The front seat has
had some rips so there is tape on the seat.
Again, I would love to recover the seat but im just too busy. The headliner is super nice, door pannles
like new! Doors open and close like
new. Windows work. Heat is hot!
Wipers wipe perfectly! Lights
work, indicators, etc! The pictures are very high resolution so look at how
nice everything is. NO RUST though the
floors, trunk or frame. This looks like
a southern car. But you will have that
when garage kept like this one! I can deliver this car for you as I have a diesel truck and
a trailer. It would be fairly expensive
though. New tires, new fuel – you have one kick butt car for a super
great price! Click to find over 70 Pictures of the Torino. SUPER HIGH RESOLUTION! CLICK HERE for Pictures |

Ford patents a multi-touch version of its classic keypad
Fri, Sep 9 2016For decades, Ford has offered a keypad on the doors of their cars that would allow owners access with the right code. Amazingly, the keypad has survived almost unchanged except for a recent touch button version. A new patent from the Blue Oval shows the keypad may get a big upgrade soon. The first big change is that it looks like the keypad may move to the key fob. Although it might be possible to have it on the car itself as well, the patent only seems to focus on the key fob. In addition, the fob will now be a multi-touch pad similar to that of modern smartphones. This will allow for more diverse code entries, according to the patent's description. Instead of just a simple number code, owners could enter a code that involves swipes and keystrokes, and even simultaneous keystrokes. For instance, you could enter a code that requires swiping from 1 to 3, followed by holding 2 and 4 to unlock the car. The patent also seems to indicate that this keypad would then display unlock functions and other functions on the fob after the correct code is entered, thus making it more than just a way to unlock the car. As for the practical implications of this keypad system update, it could provide an added layer of security. If someone steals your keys, they would have to also know your access code to get into the car. Whether this would also help make the key and car harder to hack would remain to be seen, though. Another possible benefit could be the prevention of accidental lock and alarm button presses, although that likely isn't a common issue. There could be potential downsides as well. If used as an extra layer of security, the legitimate owner would have to punch in their code on the fob to get in, which would render proximity key benefits relatively useless. Moving the keypad to the fob would also mean owners couldn't get into their cars without having the key with them. We don't have any clues as to when this could become a feature, but it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to implement, so it could show up in the next few years. Man chases down truck thief and steams it all on Facebook
Thu, Oct 13 2016A Washington man chased down a truck stolen from his family's dealership last Saturday and livestreamed the event on Facebook. According to KOMO, a 2005 Ford F-250 was stolen from Sunrise Auto Sales in Eatonville, Washington on the morning of October 8. Aaron Babcock, who co-owns the small dealership with his father David, told reporters that after reviewing surveillance footage, he later spotted the truck while riding his motorcycle on Webster Road East. "I watched my cameras and found the video of a man lurking around and ending up taking off with my truck," Babcock told KOMO. "Cops came and made a case. Three hours later I was on my motorcycle in Graham, and they drove by me oncoming. It still had dealer stickers on it. It said diesel on the window and it had our dealer plate on it. It stuck out like a sore thumb. It was really easy to see." Once he spotted the stolen Super Duty, he wheeled his bike around and gave chase. He attempted to call 911, but was unsure if the dispatcher heard him due to noise from the wind and the bike's engine. So he fired up Facebook live and started streaming his chase, giving running commentary and updating his location as he chased the slow-moving truck. "I wasn't going to let him get away. I was going to try follow him down. I had no idea what to do," Babcock said. "Nobody could hear me on the phone so I just figured the first thing to do is pull up Facebook live." Babcock's Facebook friends pitched in by calling 911 to report the chase and even jumping in their own cars to follow the truck. At one point, he pulled alongside the truck and recognized both men in the cab. The driver was the man seen lurking around the dealer lot in the surveillance video, and the passenger was an old friend of Babcock's. "I know who you are!" he shouted at them, but the hunkered down and kept driving. Eventually, Babcock lost cell phone signal and the livestream ended. Eatonville police, who by this point were well aware of the incident, caught up with the truck in the 8400 block of 356th Street South in Eatonville. The driver was arrested and the passenger was questioned and released. Both denied stealing the vehicle or knowing it was stolen. Two sets of keys from Sunrise Auto Sales and a stolen credit card were also recovered from the truck. Related Video
