1970 Ford Torino No Reserve! on 2040-cars
Lake Oswego, Oregon, United States
1970 Ford Torino, It has a 302 with 4 barrel Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel Edelbrock carb, runs great and fires up every time, rebuild C4 transmission with 500 miles on it (according to previous owner), trans is great shifts and has kick down hooked up. Engine actually pushes the car pretty, Just flushed the fuel system and put fresh gas in tank, fixed the fuel gauge so that works, has a Brand new battery. Car has power steering, power brakes with disks up front, heater works, doors are solid, rear quarter panels are solid, has some rust here and there, floor board on drivers side needs some attention (previous owner did bad repair job on small area). Runs and drives, though I would not recommend it until the brakes are gone through as they are VERY weak so it will need to be trailered. Needs to have some electrical work to get headlights and windshield wipers working. It is a project, but with new carpet, headliner and a coat of paint it would be pretty cool. Very original car with the factory trim, wheels, and hasn't been tampered with very much. Tires are almost full tread although they appear to be pretty old. Would be a great start for a restoration. Included a lot of pictures to show condition, no idea on how many of miles are on the car. If you have any questions shoot me a message. Have added some pictures of the trunk, floor board, and rear wheel wheels from request. There is some body filler on the right starting to flake off, and probably rusted out floorboard under the patch in the picture, I haven't pulled it up and looked at it. Definitely a project, but one that you could drive and work on as soon as the brakes are fixed. Body seem to be pretty solid with the exception of a few rusted spots. Seems to also have a slow drain on the battery. $250 Payment within 48 hours, Rest in cash in person when you pick it up. You come pick it up, or I can deliver within 250 miles of Portland for $2 a mile. If this doesn't work, send me a message and we can figure out other payment options.

2016 Ford Focus RS mule spotted on US soil
Tue, 17 Jun 2014Okay Ford, this is what we like to see. One of our intrepid spy photographers has captured a vehicle that we weren't even sure would see the light of day - the next Focus RS. While this is pretty clearly a mule based on the current Focus ST, as our spy points out, there are a number of giveaways about this hot hatch's true nature.
Indication number one that all is not right with this Focus is the heavily camo'd front fascia, which has been completely reconfigured for duty on the RS. It boasts significantly larger grilles that are meant to accommodate what is likely the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder that's destined for the 2015 Ford Mustang. Considering that, then, we can expect around 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque from the hottest of Foci, although it's entirely possible that the production model could climb even higher, to around 330 hp.
The front fascia tweaks are complemented in the back by a modified rear bumper, which fails at hiding a pair of exhaust tips quite unlike the standard Focus ST's center-exit exhaust. Other obvious changes include the wheel/tire/brake package on this particular car. Larger 19-inch wheels are shod in super-sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in 235/35/19 while the brakes feature what we think are four-piston calipers, possibly from Brembo, up front.
2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor vs. 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon: How they compare on paper
Tue, Jan 21 2020(Editor's Note: Due to inconsistencies in manufacturer reporting methods for ground clearance, an earlier version of this article stated the Ram Power Wagon's "ground clearance" to be 14.3 inches when in fact that is its "running clearance," which is deemed the ground to the lowest point of the truck MINUS the axles. The numbers below now reflect true ground clearance, or the ground to the lowest point of the truck, period. The chart and text have been updated to show both measurements for maximum accuracy and clarity.) For several years, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon has been the unquestioned king of heavy duty off-roaders. But competition is coming, and some of the strongest is from the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor. We decided to take a look at these trucks' specs and features to see how they compare in the realm of capability. The raw numbers are below along with some notes on each truck's unique features that go beyond the spec sheet. Off-road capability While both of these trucks boast impressive clambering abilities, each with particular strengths. The Super Duty Tremor earns points for better ground clearance and axle clearance, as well as approach angle. Some of the credit goes to the larger 35-inch tires and a shortened front air dam. On the other hand, the Power Wagon leads the Ford in departure angle, and in the ramp travel index. The latter is largely the result of the Power Wagon's electronically disconnecting sway bars, and for those unfamiliar, the ramp travel index measures articulation by having a truck drive one wheel up a ramp with the other on the ground. The farther the truck goes with the ground wheel in contact with the, well, ground, the better the score and the better the articulation. Numbers aren't everything, though. It's important to look at the equipment each truck offers, and things are closer, here, but the Ram still has an edge. Both feature off-road-friendly solid axles at both ends, but only the Power Wagon has fully locking differentials front and rear. The Tremor has a locking rear differential while the front is a limited-slip differential. The Power Wagon comes standard with a 12,000-pound integrated Warn winch, whereas such a winch is an option on the Tremor. The Tremor has its own unique features, though, including the 35-inch tires rather than the Ram's 33-inchers, and it has Ford's fancy off-road cruise control function called Trail Control. Both trucks have shocks and springs tuned for off-road use.
Car and Driver lists 10Best for 2013, same as it ever was
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Forgive us for having the distinct feeling of déjà vu, but it certainly feels like we've been here before. By that we are referring Car and Driver and the announcement of its annual 10Best vehicles for 2013. To be sure, it's an impressive selection of cars that combine heart-pounding performance and frugal sensibilities, but it also represents something of a broken record on the part of C/D. We're not so sure that's a flaw, though, as the resulting list is tough to argue with.
Vehicles like the Ford Mustang, Porsche Boxster, and BMW 3 Series have maintained their high-horsepower spots on this list for several years now. Even on the more practical and nimble end, the Honda Accord, Honda Fit and Mazda Miata have not budged. These continued spots are even in light of redesigns for some vehicles such as the Accord, Boxster and 3 Series.
In fact, the only newcomer to the 10Best list this year are the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ twins, which knocked out the Cadillac CTS-V. We think it would have been a huge misstep to have excluded the FR-S/BRZ, even in light of the supercharged Caddy's lamentable departure from 10Best.
