Thanks for looking, up for bid is a 1980 Silver Anniversary Edition Thunderbird. This was a special mid-year model for the 25th Anniversary of Thunderbird. This car is one of the limited 1623 ever produced and even rarer considering it has a factory sunroof.

The 1980 Silver Anniversary models came out in March of 1980 and featured Anniversary Silver Glow paint with a silver vinyl landau top unique to only the anniversary models. Other unique items to the car are the special  Silver Anniversary badge on the trunk lid and the Silver Anniversary coach lamps on the trunk. The body side mldgs and the pinstripes were also unique to the Silver Anniversary models together with a simulated cut crystal hood emblem. The interior features special plush velour seats, extra deep cut pile carpeting, in the car as well as the trunk, burlwood trim on the dash and door panels along with a special leather wrapped steering wheel with a 25th anniversary emblem.

Car is optioned as follows:
302(5.0L) V8 with Automatic Overdrive
Air Conditioning
Power Windows
Power Locks
Power 6 way drivers seat
Power Antenna
Cruise Control
Tilt Steering Wheel
Keyless Entry
Auto headlights
Cornering Lamps
Illuminated Entry
Rear Defrost
Digital Dash
AM-FM Cassette
Premium Sound(premium for 1980's)
Factory CB radio
Factory garage door opener
Factory Moon roof with Storage bag
TRX suspension package with michelin TRX wheels

As far as history on the car goes, I believe I am the 4th owner. The car was driven when new for the first few years and by the mid 80's had made its way to a Thunderbird enthusiast who drove it sparingly to shows and such. It was then purchased  around 2006 from an estate by another T Bird enthusiast and then by me in 2007.

This car is as it sits original, paint and all. If it was to be repainted it would be amazing but then it wouldnt be original so for now it is like it was in 1980. Right now on the car are the correct TRX  rims with black wall Michelin TRX tires but I also have a complete set of TRX rims with TRX whitewall tires.  If you have read this far you probably are already aware of the price of these Michelin TRX tires so bid accordingly.

If you have any questions or would like some different pictures send a note and I will respond. Car is listed with a reserve, please dont ask me to end it early, ship it overseas, wait till you get permission, wait till you get your taxes, or any of that type of stuff.  Car is in my garage now and I can keep it there for a bit if you need to arrange shipping but car will not move till payment is complete.

These are 2014's best-selling cars and trucks

Tue, Jan 6 2015

Now that 2014 is no more than a set of numbers on spreadsheets, at last, the grist mill gets its first real load to chew on. The number one selling vehicle in America last year was the Ford F-Series, a fact that should surprise you only if your family name is Van Winkle and your naps tend to last 38 years, which is how long the Ford pickup has ruled our buying landscape. Even though series sales were down 1.3 percent, it still racked up 753,851 units. That's 2,065.3 sales per day, every day, all year. The Chevrolet Silverado, up 10.3 percent for the year, was still a daylight second at 529,755 units. The cab-and-bed love continued into third place with the Ram 1500-3500 trucks, gaining 23.6-percent year-on-year to clock 439,789 units. The robust turnout at The Bighorn and Jeep helped Fiat-Chrysler increase its sales by 16 percent, past the two-million mark. Our number one car? The Toyota Camry, staying in first place with a 4.9-percent sales boost to 428,606 sales, trailed again by the Honda Accord at number five with 388,374 sales. Accord sales rose six percent, and if it's any consolation to Honda for coming in second - not that it needs one - it is the only manufacturer to have three vehicles in the top ten. The rest of the list: the Nissan Altima with 335,644 sales (+4.7%), the Honda CR-V with 355,019 (+10.2%), the Toyota Corolla/Matrix combo with 339,498 (+5.9%), the Honda Civic with 325,981 (-3.1%), and the Ford Fusion with 306,860 sales (+2.9%). Total sales for the year were up six percent to 16.5 million vehicles, a volume not seen since 2006, aided by a strong December that was up by 11 percent year-on-year. Ford was the top selling brand overall but sales didn't really budge from 2013, while Subaru rocketed up 21 percent to finish with 513,693 sales. At the precious end, BMW, Audi, Porsche and Land Rover all had record years, and Kelley Blue Book thinks we could be looking at 17 million sales for the next two or three years. Looks like it's time to start making hay again... GM's Reuss predicts 2016 Chevy Camaro will outperform Ford Mustang in every way

Tue, Apr 7 2015

We aren't going to be seeing the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro until next month. But even though we know when we're going to see the new muscle car, it's totally unclear whether Chevy will dole out technical details. That means we can't answer the latest version of the age-old question: Camaro or Ford Mustang? Not surprisingly, General Motors North America President Mark Reuss has already stated his position, saying he was "very confident" that the sixth-generation Camaro will be faster, more agile and more efficient than the Ford. Reuss made his comments after saying he drove the new Camaro back-to-back with the Mustang the week prior. Reuss' statement came in a conversation with Fox News about the 2016 Camaro where he elaborated on the car's weight shedding and how it fit into GM's strategy on other new models. "There are some really cool things in the Camaro, that are quite different than the Malibu, [and] CT6," Reuss told Fox. As we reported previously, the Camaro will shed some 200 pounds by switching to aluminum and other lightweight composites for some of its components. With May 16 just over a month away, here's hoping Reuss decides to loose some other details on the next Camaro ahead of its debut. Related Video:

Shelby GT500 and Roush Stage 3 go head to head at the drag strip

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

The Ford Mustang is a brilliantly affordable source of horsepower, with a base 300-plus-horsepower version available for well under $30,000. Jumping up to about $35,000 will get you a solid 420 horsepower from a high-revving V8, while those with some extra disposable income can get a pair of 600-plus-horsepower monsters. Both the Roush Stage 3 with its Phase 3 package and Ford's factory Shelby GT500 even crest the 650-horsepower mark, with 675 and 662 ponies, respectively.
Naturally, someone needed to find out which of these hi-po Mustangs was the quickest. And while this video is quite obviously a dealership commercial, at least there's some solid drag racing between two of the most powerful performance machines available for under $100,000.
With two NHRA drag racers at the wheel, the Stage 3 and GT500 go head to head for three races. Scroll down below to see the results in the full video.
