1978 Ford Thunderbird!! Mileage has gone up a little bit from what the picture shows. I've drove it to work a few times. Good, solid, straight, southern car! One dent on driver side front fender. NO RUST!!!! Very, Very solid car. Has a 351m big block in it! Runs great, i drive it every now and then. Factory a/c! Not working at the moment. Needs valve seals. Smokes when you first crank it up but goes away after a few minutes. Has a slight oil leak out of the drain plug (drain plug stripped out). I started sanding and priming it but haven't finished. Its a great car, I love the car but I just don't have the money to work on it. The interior is good. Headliner intact. Floor under the carpet still looks brand new. Its got brand new carpet in it but i cut it a little short in a few places. The seats are the worst thing. They gonna have to be redone! I have a bunch of engine and body parts for it. I was gonna get the motor rebuilt so I've got new rebuilt heads a new 4 bbl weiand intake and 4 bbl holly 650 cfm carburetor. Brand new drilled and slotted front brakes and pads. Brand new rear air shocks. I have new parking lights for the front of the fenders. Got the trim to go around the driver side back window. Car has a lot of potential. Ford issues six recalls covering 101,000 vehicles for multiple issues
Tue, 08 Jul 2014Ford is announcing six separate recalls for a variety of issues affecting a dozen models and a total of 100,610 vehicles in North America. However, according to Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker, "None of them have caused accidents or injuries." Half of them cover fewer than 1,000 cars.
The largest recall covers 92,022 North American examples (about 83,250 in the US) of some models of the Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, Ford Interceptor, Flex and Lincoln MKT from the 2013 and 2014 model years; the 2012-2014 Edge and the 2014 Lincoln MKX. All of them have a potential issue with the halfshaft on the right side that might not be fully seated and could move outward over time. If it shifts too far, the models may no longer be able to drive, and the condition could also allow the vehicles to roll away, even when in Park. Dealers will inspect the shaft to make sure it's seated and will replace the part if necessary.
The next-largest recall covers 5,264 North American examples (4,867 in the US) of the Ford F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis from the 2011-2014 model years. It's possible that an electrical junction box can corrode in areas with salty roads and short circuit. The problem could potentially cause a fire. Dealers will replace the box with an improved design.

Ford bringing 10 custom Transit Connects to SEMA
Tue, 29 Oct 2013With 57 vehicles planned for its SEMA display, it comes as little surprise that Ford has plenty of teasers for its show cars. After showing us what it has in store for the Mustang, Fiesta and Focus ST, now we're getting a look at some of the custom creations based on the redesigned 2014 Transit Connect van.
These nine Transit Connects are decked out to various degrees of customization, but our favorite might be the chopped and lowered Transit Connect from Mob Steel (shown above), which has a similar slammed stance that we see on some custom VW Buses. On the opposite extreme, LGE & CTS Motorsports has jacked up a Transit Connect to make a Cross Country cruiser that we wouldn't mind taking on a road trip.
