1978 - Ford Thunderbird on 2040-cars
Cherry Plain, New York, United States
1978 FORD THUNDERBIRD DIAMOND JUBILEE. GREAT LOOKING AND RUNNING SERVIVOR OF THE 70'S. NICE WHITE COLOR WITH THE COMPLEMENTARY BLUE INTERIOR. NO CRACKS ON THE DASHBOARD THAT IS USUALLY COMMON. ALL GAUGES WORK PROPERLY EXCEPT THE CLOCK. THE INTERIOR AND HEADLINER ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION EXCEPT THE TOP REAR LEFT SIDE SEAT. IT WOULDN'T TAKE MUCH TO MAKE IT RIGHT. HEADLIGHTS WORK PROPERLY AS WELL AS THE HEADLIGHT COVERS. THE ENGINE RUNS STRONG AND TRANSMISSION SHIFTS PROPERLY. THIS IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR THE YEAR. THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS DO HAVE SOME SURFACE RUST AS SEEN IN THE PICTURES. THE CAR HAS NO BODY RUST AND IS VERY CLEAN. POWER DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK BUT I ASSUME IT WOULDN'T BE A HARD FIX. I TRIED TO DISCRIBE THE CAR AS BEST AS I COULD AND HOPE THE PHOTOS WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE. 351 V8 MOTOR WITH AUTOMATIC TRASMISSION.

2015 Ford Focus
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Sitting down at the pre-drive briefing with Ford engineers ahead of sampling the refreshed 2015 Focus, water bottles clinked as we wet our whistles before Q&A. While pouring a glass, we noticed something stamped on the bottle label: "1L." One liter. We were palming the exact displacement of the EcoBoost engine our group was about to drive. This was undoubtedly coincidence (such bottles litter every conference and dinner table in Europe) but it served to drive home just how small the total swept volume of Ford's wunderkind powerplant really is. It's tiny.
Of course, this isn't our first run-in with the little triple - we've sampled its turbocharged charms before in Ford's smaller Fiesta. At that time, we found it had plenty of poke for the subcompact, but the larger C-segment Focus carries around another 450 pounds or so and pushes a wider profile through the air. Would the three-cylinder have the stuffing to make the most of the Focus' athletic chassis, or would it be a letdown? Would it be the same as it was when we tested it in a Euro-spec Focus a couple of years ago? There was nothing left for it but to head out on the bucolic roads surrounding Versailles the day after the Paris Motor Show and find out for ourselves.
2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]
Fri, 19 Sep 2014At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.
This Or That: Fiat 500 Abarth vs. Ford Fiesta ST [w/poll]

They're pretty darn similar. And yet our views are oh so different.
If you guys could read the transcripts of our editors' chat room, you'd know that we're a pretty argumentative bunch. It's always good-spirited stuff (well, usually), but when we're not obsessively covering this or that, we're usually fighting about one car being better than another. We're all enthusiasts here, and our automotive tastes run the gamut from the weird and unusual to the decidedly mainstream - we all feel strongly about specific cars in a given segment. While it usually makes for good conversation, if we're passionate enough, it can turn into a tomato-throwing showdown.
