1962 Ford Thunderbird

Offered for sale is the Tbird seen below. This car is a slight custom that has a great look and turns heads anywhere it goes. Although not perfect his is an extremely nice cruiser that is nicer then most you will come across. There has been a lot of money spent over the years on improvements and upgrades to make the car what it is today.

For starters the 390 v8 engine was completely removed and rebuilt in 2008 and the car has enjoyed very little mileage since. The odometer was reset when the engine was rebuilt and it now has 3,100 miles. The heads and intake valves where also redone at the same time along with rebuilt starter and bendix. The car starts and runs great. The engine was also dressed with many chrome parts including water pump, power steering cover, cross support bars, heater delete plate, oil filler tube, coolant over flow, coolant filler neck and polished aluminum valve covers with matching air cleaner. It also has a brand new very expensive correct battery and new correct battery cables and washer bag.

The interior is very nice and presentable. As good as it looks in the photos and features a newer digital style thunderbird logo radio, swing away steering wheel, power windows, upgraded Dolphin gauges that all work correctly. The power windows all work but the drivers side sometimes needs a little help to go up. Extremely nice with brand new correct rubber mats, newer seat covers, carpet, door panels, headliner. It comes with a brand new tray insert for center console and brand new never opened never installed door felts that need to be put on the car.

The paint is about 15 years old, very nice but not perfect. There are imperfections such as a chip ding or minor scratch that is shown in the pictures below. It is a very straight solid body. The only metal replacement was one spot in the trunk floor. The biggest fault is pitting around the chrome trim on windows which is also shown in the pics. Lots of nice upgrades including true wire wheels with like new wide white walls with inner tubes. It has brand new rear bumper Q’s lenses and rubber which are extremely expensive for the right stuff. It has a custom front grille and the car has been lowered by 2’’. Underneath it also has a brand new fuel tank.

One of our salesmen was a previous owner of this car for 12 years. He knows pretty much anything you could want to know about the car and you can reach him directly at 216-978-7274 his name is Gary.

50 new vehicles by 2025: Ford making big push in China

Tue, Dec 5 2017

SHANGHAI — Ford will launch 50 new vehicles in China by 2025, including 15 electrified vehicles, the U.S. firm said at an event in Shanghai on Tuesday, as it looks to rev up sales growth in the market and shift towards cleaner electric cars. Ford's sales in China have been weak in recent months, and the company is scrambling to come up with electric and hybrid vehicles to comply with strict Chinese quotas over production and sales for so-called new energy vehicles, or NEVs. The U.S. automaker is undergoing a broad review of its China operations, part of a strategic re-think under new Chief Executive Officer Jim Hackett, which will likely see the company focus on electric commercial vans as well as electric cars. "Between now and 2025, we will launch 50 new vehicles in China, and of those 50 new vehicles, 15 of them will be all-new electrified vehicles," said Peter Fleet, Ford's head of Asia Pacific, pointing to big growth in the "utility" segment. Fleet also said Ford's China revenue would grow by 50 percent over the same period. China is pushing automakers toward electric and hybrid petrol-electric vehicles, setting tough quotas for NEVs that come into play in 2019, and has signaled a longer-term shift away from traditional internal combustion engine cars. The major shift in the world's largest auto market has jolted some automakers, sparking a spate of recent electric vehicle (EV) joint ventures in the market. Ford has announced an EV tie-up with China's Anhui Zotye Automobile Co Ltd. "We've never seen change like we do today," said Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford. "Everything is being disrupted" by the development of autonomous vehicles, trends such as ride-sharing and electric vehicles, he added. "It's clearly the case that China will lead the world in EV development, and so we at Ford are investing enormous amounts of money both here in China and globally to bring electrification into fruition." Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang to cost $52,995?

Mon, Dec 1 2014

The 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang was one of the shining stars of this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. And the Blue Oval's latest muscle car might even have reason to burn a little brighter if a recent rumor about its price proves true. Best of all are rumors that an even more potent version of the Shelby is potentially on the way. According to Horsepower Kings citing unnamed Ford sources at the LA Auto Show, the 2015 GT350 carries a starting price of $52,995, and the Tech package adds a further $2,995 on top of that. There's also the claim of a Track package for an undisclosed price. However, it doesn't look like LA is the last we'll see of the newest Shelby because the source also alleges that a top-rung GT350R is under development with bigger brakes, modified aerodynamics and sportier tires. This rubber-burner is reported to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. Assuming these claims are correct, it puts the Shelby in fighting form against its two Chevrolet Camaro rivals. Ford reports that the GT350's 5.2-liter V8 pumps out over 500 horsepower and more than 400 pound-feet of torque. At $52,995, it would undercut by a couple of grand the $55,505 (before destination) base price of the 580-hp 2015 ZL1. The super 'Stang might also beat the 505-hp Z/28 with its power rating, while being vastly cheaper than the track-focused Camaro's $72,305 price. This could be quite the performance shoot-out.
