I am selling my Ford Taurus SE Wagon because I am just not using it enough to justify the cost of having it in the city.

The car was recently given to me by my wife's grandmother (the original owner), who only used it on Sundays to go to church.

The car only has 34k Miles on it (as of today, 10/21) and is in great conditions. I just replaced the battery in July, so it's good to go for the colder months.

The car still has 5k miles to go before the next oil change is due. The tires are in good conditions too (as pictured).

The interiors and the seats are in excellent shape and have always been smoke-free.

As you can see from the pictures the car has two minor cosmetic defects: there is a small dent on the rear left door and there is a light ~11 inches long mark on the right side of the rear tail, just above the wheel. I found the car like that one day after parking it on the street. I did not try to clean the mark, but I am pretty sure the black line can easily come off, and being the mark really superficial the paint under it has not been affected (no chance of rusting).

The gas gauge has a shortcoming where it fails to go all the way to full even when the gas tank is indeed full. However, it is accurate in gradually reporting the emptying of the tank and successfully signals an empty tank.

This model also features an extra row of seats (seating 2 people) that completely hides away under the trunk floor when not in use.

Ford's Mulally now said to be in lead for Microsoft CEO job

There have been rumors that Ford CEO Alan Mulally could assume the top job over at Microsoft, whose CEO, Steve Ballmer, will retire within the year. Mulally hasn't come out and said that he's considering moving to Microsoft after (or before) his contract with Ford through 2014 ends, but sources in the know say he's the front-runner to become the tech giant's CEO and has opened up to the idea more in recent weeks, AllThingsD reports.
Mulally is no stranger to Washington, where Microsoft is located, having worked in the state for Seattle-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes as CEO years ago. He also recently was an adviser to Ballmer in an effort to realign the company's management structure to help it become more competitive in a fast-changing computer hardware and software market. And when Ford developed its Sync digital interface, it tapped Microsoft to provide the operating system, Microsoft Auto. Perhaps the least crucial connection - but nonetheless an important one - is that Mulally still owns a house in the Seattle area, and it's been said he wants to return there, according to AllThingsD.
A main challenge Microsoft's next CEO will face is how to manage the company's numerous, fractured operations and, eventually, streamline them. But even on this front, Mulally has experience; after all, it was he who ushered in an era of global Ford vehicles, after the automaker had become complacent developing and selling vehicles by region leading up to the economic recession of 2008-2009.

Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo, plans merchandise

The Ford Mustang turns 50 years old this year, and this is the logo that will announce the milestone occasion on a special line of merchandise. The graphic is the result of an internal design competition, and Ford will give 50 different companies the license to use it on traditional logo merchandise like shirts and watches, along with some untraditional items like pinball machines.
Ford is going to begin the celebrations at this week's New York Auto Show and continue them throughout the year, but April 17 is the official birthday of the the pony car that just won't quit. You can expect to start seeing anniversary merchandise in the next couple of weeks.
