Selling my 5 speed 1997 Ford Ranger. For the year the vehicle it is in very good condition with no mechanical problems. There is some rust around the passenger side door and wheel wells with the majority of it being on the tailgate which is fairly normal for this vehicle. It is very good underneath with no rusting at all into the bed or anywhere else besides the doors and tailgate. I can send any specific pictures to its degree or of anything else for that matter on request. The engine is very smooth and doesn't knock or make any abnormal noses. Shifts very nice and drives good. There is a small cigarette burn in driver side seat but interior is in very good condition. Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]
Tue, 20 May 2014The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
