1993 Ford Ranger Stx 4x4 Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 4.0l No Rust 35,000 Mi Nr on 2040-cars
Southfield, Michigan, United States
I have for your consideration this 1993 Ford Ranger STX Extended Cab 4X4. We are liquidating this out for an estate. We are told that the mileage is original and I have no reason not to believe them but I am not personally guaranteeing that as it was not my vehicle. We have put 200 miles on it and it drives great! No rust or accidents. We just put brand new 31 x 10.50 R 15 all terrain tires on it (original size to the vehicle) at a cost of over $600 from Discount Tire. That includes the road hazzard coverage. The push button four wheel drive works as it should. The air conditioning even blows ice cold. Non smoker vehicle. Cruise control works as well as everything else. There is a detachable face JVC cd stereo in it. No rips or tears in the interior. The truck is super clean including the under carriage. There is a tonneau cover as well. You just do not see these in this condition. I am going to let you folks decide its value as I am starting this no reserve auction at just $.99! The truck is located in Fenton Michigan zip code 48430 for viewing and or a test drive. The truck is for sale locally and will not be shipped unless it is paid for in advance with cash or certified funds. The winning bidder is responsible for all costs and arrangements. An absolute non-refundable of $200 is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction with full payment and pickup due within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made. This truck is being sold as is where is with no warranties or guarantees expressed, written, or implied. I have described this truck honestly and to the best of my abilities and knowledge.

Ford hurt by 2015 F-150 production restraints
Tue, Mar 10 2015The new 2015 Ford F-150 came out of the gate strong for January 2015 with all F-Series sales up 17 percent for the month. However, February tempered those gains a bit with the model line dipping 1.2 percent, and the Ford brand itself dropped 1.7 percent year-over-year. The fall is being blamed in part on tight supply of the latest pickup. A major factor holding back the 2015 F-150 is that they are only currently being made at the Dearborn Truck Plant. The Kansas City factory is still changing over, and full supply from them both is expected by the middle of the year. Ford also just announced plans to hire an extra 1,550 people to build the pickups, including 900 in Kansas City. However, the downtime in the assembly changeover has caused about 90,000 units in lost production since mid-2014, according to The Detroit Free Press. It's not all bad news for the pickup, though. The latest F-150 made up 21 percent of F-Series sales in February, according to The Detroit Free Press, up from 18 percent in the previous month, and they remained on dealer lots an average of 18 days. The lessened supply has also meant lower incentives. Mark LaNeve, Ford's US marketing boss, told the Free Press that average F-150 transaction prices were up $2,000 from last year. He also indicated that retail figures grew seven percent in February, while F-Series fleet numbers were down 18 percent. The constrained supply does come at an inopportune time for Ford, though. This year is expected to be huge for pickups. Also, lower gas prices appear to be pushing people towards SUVs and trucks recently. Related Video:
2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
Crushing 1984 Ford Ranger to make a point about clean cars
Fri, May 29 2015Being a professional politician is often about more than just getting legislation passed, and a little showmanship can go a long way towards getting a point across. California State Senate leader Kevin de Leon recently staged just such a flashy stunt when he crushed a 1984 Ford Ranger at a rally kicking off an EV incentives pilot program. De Leon sponsored a bill last year that, in part, tried to give greater support to low-income buyers who wanted to trade in their old clunker for a zero-emissions vehicle. He hoped to improve the state's Clean Vehicle Rebate Project, which has been accused of especially helping the wealthy. After watching their Ranger get destroyed at this event, the Mendoza family that owned the truck drove away in a 2013 Toyota Prius, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. Under the pilot program, buyers in two air districts in the Golden State can take advantage of these incentives. Depending on their income and the vehicle they are purchasing, people can get a rebate of between $1,500 and $9,500, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. For now, the California Air Resources Board has set aside $5 million from the state's cap-and-trade program to fund things in these areas. Later, it will vote whether to adopt the initiative statewide. Not to be outdone, Arnold Schwarzenegger has thrown his prodigious muscle behind this program, and he put out an even more explosive video showing how to get rid of these old vehicles.
