Southern California 1963 Ford Ranchero. Its amazing that Ford has not re-introduced this unique combination of half truck/car as it has the best of both worlds giving you car-like handing with the utility of a truck bed. 260 V8 w/ auto trans, mature owned used as a Sunday grocery getter. Always maintained and is ready to be used as a daily driver, lots of new/rebuilt parts. Paint is in presentable condition but does have its share of flaws in over 50 years of its life. Does not have A/C heater. Nice Southern California survivor, these Rancheros in this condition are getting harder to find as they as being sent worldwide as collectables. Being sold locally as well. National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs.
