I've owned this truck since 2007 and used it here around my shop. During this time I upgraded it extensively with the following:
Engine: Offenhauser Dual Port intake manifold - Edelbrock 1406 carburetor - K&N air filter and breather - Pertronix3 multi spark ignition - 8.5mm high performance plug wires
Transmission: replaced C4 with AOD 4 speed with 1250 stall converter and shift kit
Drive train: all U-joints new - 3.25 posi replaced against new 3.89 posi from Speedway Motors
Suspension and wheels: 17" Ansen Racing rims 8" front and 10" rear with new in 2013 NITTO high performance tires - front lowered 2"
Brakes: master, flex lines, calipers, wheel cylinders and rear drums new within 10.000 mls
Exhaust: Brand new Magnaflow dual exhaust
AC works fine. I installed Mustang seats and the drivers seat is power. I added a tachometer. The car has its original radio which plays only loud. The fuel and temperatur gauge are currently not working. Currently it has a camper topper installed because of my dog traveling with me. The truck has a rear sliding window.
I drove this truck for about 25.000 mls and it never let me down. The engine runs strong and revs 1800rpm at 60mph so it is good on gas and you can go 90mph all day long if you live in Texas. Drove it to Big Bend 3 years ago, carrying my 4wheeler in the bed.
Why do I sell? I got really busy in my business and can not give it the attention it deserves. The paint begins fading and the clear burned off in sections. The gravel roads around here has left their marks on the fenders and to prevent further damage, it needs tlc.
Don't get me wrong: There is nothing wrong with this truck. In fact, it rides better than most and it is tight and almost rattle free. (except when you have the windows half down.) It is a very clean ride.

Hot Wheels' 2022 Green Speed cars bring EVs to small scale
Sun, Apr 24 2022With more and more EVs hitting the market, it was only a matter of time before the new breed of cars would find representation in diecast form. For 2022, Hot Wheels is coming out with a new Green Speed series that puts the spotlight on a diverse lineup of electric cars. The five-car series features a fun mix of EVs from different manufacturers and in a wide range of styles. Some are completely bone stock. For a traditional luxury sedan, there's a Lucid Air in silver, complete with glass (or in this case, clear plastic) canopy. For fans of Teutonic 4-door "coupes" there's the Audi RS e-Tron GT in Daytona Gray. Ticking the truck box is a Hummer EV in a yellow that can only be described as a throwback to the H3. But because this is Hot Wheels, there are "hot-rodded" variants in the lineup as well. Rather than just a regular Nissan Leaf, they've elected to cast the carbon fiber-bodied NISMO RC 2.0 race car. Likewise with Ford, instead of the standard Mustang Mach-E, they've gone with the Mustang Mach-E 1400 drift car. This isn't the first time Hot Wheels has put out a Green Speed series. The line debuted in 2016 but reflected the limited EV choices in the real car market at the time. The only non-fantasy cars in the series were a first-gen Tesla Roadster, a Tesla Model S, and Chevy Volt. Hot Wheels revisited the line again in 2019, this time adding a Tesla Model 3 and a Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo. Hot Wheels also makes other mini EVs that don't fall into this specific line of models. If you want to collect 'em all, there's the second-generation Tesla Roadster concept, Cybertruck, Jaguar I-Pace, Pininfarina Battista, Porsche Taycan, and a Volkswagen ID R. Similarly, Matchbox has released a version of the Tesla Roadster with sustainable packaging to boot. If you must have an old school gasoline burner, Hot Wheels has plenty of options for you too, like, say, this snazzy FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser. The 2022 Hot Wheels Green Speed series should be on shelves at your local retailers now. Related Video:
Matt Damon is Carroll Shelby, with Christian Bale in Ford vs. Ferrari film
Thu, Jun 21 2018Right after we reported that one of the Le Mans-winning Ford GT40s is coming up for auction, word got round that its story will now be turned into a Hollywood movie. There will be an as-yet-untitled major motion picture that tells the story of Ford battling Ferrari in the 1960s, culminating in the Ford GT40's dramatic 1-2-3 finish in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. The movie has lined up an all-star cast, with "Batman" and "American Psycho" actor Christian Bale tapped to play key GT40 developer, test driver and racer Ken Miles, and "Punisher" actor Jon Bernthal as Lee Iacocca. The plum role of Carroll Shelby is going to Matt Damon, last seen driving across the Red Planet in "The Martian" or down a flight of stairs in the "Bourne" film series. The film's director will be James Mangold, known from directing last year's "Logan." View 37 Photos Autoweek reports that the original screenplay was based on A.J. Baime's book " Go Like Hell," but there will be a different screenplay written from scratch. Originally, "Go Like Hell" was to be a different project starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Meanwhile, the book will reportedly be turned into a TV series produced by Peter Dinklage of "Game of Thrones." And meanwhile some more, there are also competing Enzo Ferrari biopics in the works starring Robert De Niro and another starring Hugh Jackman that will also surely touch on the rivalry with Ford. While there's no guarantee yet that the GT40 biopic will match Steve McQueen's "Le Mans," we're got high hopes. It's a great story worthy of all the attention it's getting.
