2004 Ford F150 4x2 Supercrew Lariat 5.4l Less Than 38k Miles on 2040-cars
Crestview, Florida, United States
THE TRUCK ----------THE MAN The Truck 2004 FORD F150 LARIAT Less than 38,000 miles The Man This truck belonged to my Uncle. His name was Clay. This truck was his pride and joy!! Clay was a Marine who served in Vietnam. He was a police officer in Ct. and a Sargent in Fl Clay had his first heart attack at age 39. He was as tough as nails. (maybe tougher) ! He purchased this truck not long after being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2003. The Doctors gave him 18 months. They did NOT know Clay ! The Truck Black on Black The original sticker shows all the details and is the last in the series of pictures that I've added. A complete service was done on this truck 9/06/2011 to the tune of $2098. 29. Tires have approximately 5,000 miles on them. This truck is in excellent condition. It was detailed and the oil changed last week. The Man He wanted to keep her impeccable. He kept every record of every maintenance that this truck has had. He even kept a small notebook over the visor and logged every mile he drove. Clay beat his lung cancer and dealt with continuing heart issues. A surgery here, an angioplasty there....he never complained. He became a computer geek and worked part time from home. He made friendships and touched the lives of so many people around the world. Clay developed a blood cancer in 2009. Cancer was NOT tougher than Clay. He battled back - He knew the routine. He continued to work part time and again he never complained. He knew when his heart needed work and each time he would drive himself to the hospital. He was TOUGH ! BUILT FORD TOUGH ! He had heart problems this past October and he got in the truck to get tot he hospital. He made it to the end of his driveway before he had to call for an ambulance. He passed October 28th, 2013. He was 65 And cancer never beat him ! He left his "baby".....this truck to his sister ( My Mom) Here are Mom's words Clay's baby.....
"The pride of my
brother's life was his 2004 Ford 150 Lariat Truck, black with black windows, and
the "bubba rumble" as I would call his mufflers, it was his baby. He kept a
log of every mile he drove and every service that was done. from the time he
bought it. Well my brother has been called home by Our
Lord and although he left me, his
sister the truck, it is with much sadness that I must sell this beautiful truck to a
person who loves the "bubba rumble" and who will sit high in the front
seat as Captain of his own ship and feel the magic from it;s beauty. If I
were a younger person, and Mr Arthritis and Mr Old age weren't present I
would drive this "baby" with pride, listening to his truck music which brings
back many memories, and when stopped at a stop sign next to another
truck, look over and whisper without words, "watch it" "I see your
envy, this is Clay's truck, his baby and then leave them in the dust"!!
Sometimes, a truck is just a truck. This one, well this one seems like more. It's important to my Mom that you know the history of this truck. She is 77 and it's too much truck for her. She wants the new owner to appreciate the truck. All the maintenance records will come with the truck. Please email me with any questions you may have. If you need additional pics, just let me know. Ford unveils its facelifted Falcon finale with new XR8
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its days may be numbered, Ford isn't just going to let its Falcon sedan limp out for the Australian market. No, the Blue Oval is releasing a refreshed Falcon for its final years, and it's lead by this, the new XR8. That's right, this dead-car-driving is going to go out on a high note.
Ford's global design DNA dominates the looks of the new Falcon, with a grille reminiscent of the US market Fusion and the European-market Mondeo. The headlights aren't a straight port, and boast their own unique LED running light pattern (at least on the XR8), but the overall look is strikingly similar. Out back, LED taillights highlight the rear of the Faclon. Despite the substantial new fascia, this is still a mid-cycle refresh. That means most of the rest of the Falcon's body panels are carryovers from the current model.
The XR8 model, shown above, arrives with a supercharged V8, allegedly displacing 5.0 liters. Unfortunately, details on the Falcon's mechanicals are in remarkably short supply. Ford has committed to a range of turbocharged four, as well as turbocharged and naturally aspirated six-cylinders, in addition to the V8, although specifics on those mills aren't available.
Diesel details: Comparing Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, Chevy Silverado Duramax, Ford F-150 Powerstroke
Thu, Jun 13 2019With specifications for the 2019 Ford F-150 Power Stroke diesel already out, and the details on the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and Chevy Silverado Duramax (and its GMC Sierra twin) trickling out, we felt it was a good time to start comparing the full-size trucks' light-duty diesels. Bear in mind, we've only driven one of these new diesel trucks, so we'll be sticking to numbers for now. Some numbers haven't been announced yet, either, but stay tuned, because we'll be updating this post with additional specifications as they become available. And if you want to compare any other versions of these trucks with other vehicles, be sure to check out our comparison tool. Now let's start comparing, starting with our big chart of numbers below. As we can plainly see, these trucks are quite closely matched. Each one has six cylinders, a displacement of 3.0 liters and a turbocharger to boost it. The output of each is somewhat close, too. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel is the torque king at 480 pound-feet, 20 more than the GM trucks and 40 more than the Ford. The GM trucks win on power, though, with 277 ponies, 17 more than the Ram, and 27 more than the Ford. GM does report that you get their trucks' peak 460 pound-feet of torque from 1,500 rpm to 3,000 rpm, whereas the others only report peak torque at a particular point in the rev band, but all of these trucks should have wide, flat torque curves as you would expect from modern turbodiesels. 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel View 8 Photos Engine output is only one part of the truck performance equation. We also have towing and payload capacity, as well as fuel economy. With towing, the Ram 1500 is the current leader with a maximum capacity of 12,560 pounds. That tops the Ford F-150's 11,400-pound tow rating by well over 1,000 pounds. The F-150 can carry 2,020 pounds in its bed, but we don't know yet whether that's better or worse than the Ram or the GM trucks. We also don't have numbers for the GM trucks' towing capacities. View 9 Photos As for fuel economy, the Ford F-150 manages a thoroughly impressive 22 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway with two-wheel drive. Choosing four-wheel drive drops those numbers to 20 and 25 respectively. The fuel economy numbers for the Ram, Chevy and GMC haven't been revealed yet, but for some comparison, we can look at the old Ram EcoDiesel. That truck's best fuel economy was 20 in the city and 27 on the highway with two-wheel drive.
48-inch panoramic display kicks off Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience
Mon, Jan 22 2024Arguing against screens in new cars is a losing battle. Every automaker is working hard to boost the display real estate in new models, and the level of integration between cars and the connected world at large is growing rapidly. Ford and Lincoln recently detailed a digital development roadmap that places screens and software at the forefront of their ownership experience going forward, and it’s clear the pair view vehicles as another device in peopleÂ’s connected lives. Ford said the average U.S. household has 16 connected devices and noted that it believes vehicles should offer a seamless connection between them. The Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience features apps from Google, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and apps from Amazon, among others. The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is the current flagship for this technology, as it brings the brandÂ’s first 48-inch panoramic display, featuring the highest resolution ever offered in a Lincoln. The system serves as part of the SUVÂ’s driver assistance features, including BlueCruise, the hands-free semi-autonomous driving function. Beyond offering new features, Ford said the Digital Experience helps reduce distraction by letting drivers place the apps they use the most closest to their line of sight. Media, weather, and other information can be positioned in widgets on one side of the display to provide quick information, and owners can set up profiles to store different configurations for drivers. Part of the Ford/Lincoln tech expansion includes third-party app installations. The new system offers Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, iHeartRadio, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. Google Play games are also available and can use a Bluetooth controller connection. Video conferencing apps will soon be available to let owners Zoom wherever theyÂ’re parked. The Nautilus is the first Ford or Lincoln model to get the Digital Experience, but others will follow. Ford said the system is designed for future updates and expansion through over-the-air updates and 5G internet connectivity. 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve with Jet Appearance Package 2024 Lincoln Black Label Nautilus Hybrid View 41 Photos
