This is a nice car that has already had some restoration. I got it thinking I would finish it one day, but never had the time. Now I just need money, so this would be a great project for somebody who has the time and money to invest in it.
In the pictures this car looks fantastic but some of the pictures fail to show the minor damage on the body. Most of the panels have been replaced previously except the door skins. They are bubbling up with rust. I have one new replacement door skin that just needs to be put on and painted. I also had the paint matched so that the whole car wouldn't need to be repainted. (Paint included). There are a few other areas that have some damage and need repair. The driver door needed a spring so that it wouldn't open out so far. We replaced the door spring but it did cause a spot where the door opened too far and hit the door (which will be repaired when you replace the door skin). Also there's several scratches on the rear panel where someone rubbed along a fence. There are several other nicks in the paint that need to be retouched. The interior has also been replaced previously. Still looks great the carpet is fading though. The car is kept under a carport because it leaks water in around the windshield or cowl, not sure where it's coming in at. The floorboards are solid as I said before they were replaced previously also. This is an automatic 302. I believe originally it was a 6-cylinder. This was a basic car with no options originally. When it was restored it had top-of-the-line engine parts put in! The engine looks great and runs strong. I noticed the engine has a little vibration when running not sure why. It runs good though. We drove it for an entire weekend at a car show 45 minute drive to and from, and it didn't give us any trouble at all! It might need a carburetor. Sometimes it's slow to start. But once it's warmed up it's fine. It needs shocks and/or struts because if anyone sits in the backseat if you go over a bump it rubs the tires. This car has nice aluminum Torque Thrust wheels! The tires still have plenty of tread. This car doesn't have an air conditioner. But the heat works. The radio doesn't work. I don't think the mileage is correct. Needs a turn signal handle. Some of the gauges don't don't work. This car doesn't have seat belts, it never had them. I can't think of anything else to say right now, but please ask any questions you may have. I described this car to the best of my knowledge. Due to the age of this car it is being sold as-is. Please see full description and all photos before purchasing. I am not liable for any repairs. Any repairs that need to be done will be the buyers responsibility. If I failed to list something that is found wrong after purchase, I cannot be held liable. Please understand that this is an old vehicle and although it was fully restored some time ago (not sure exactly when) it needs some work. I can send more photos on request through email. Will deliver car up to 200 miles. |

Ford Ka Concept shown in Brazil, could enter production by 2014
Wed, 13 Nov 2013The Ford Ka (pronounce it like a Bostonian saying "car") is the Blue Oval's sub-Fiesta offering in a number of markets that aren't North America. It's been a staple in Europe since it launched in 1996 and in South America since 1997, where it's enjoyed quite a bit of popularity as an affordable, efficient city car.
The European and South American models grew apart over the years, until Europe ended up with a Fiesta-inspired car and Brazil retained a more evolved version of the original Ka's styling. With this Ka Concept, which is really a concept in name only, Ford is previewing a Ka not just for the European market, but as the brand's new, global small car. With city car sales expected to grow dramatically in coming years and the ever increasing price of fuel, Ford's move to get a new, competitive car into the market on a global level isn't surprising.
Wearing Ford's new, familial grille, the Ka Concept features the same crisp, sculpted sheetmetal that's adorned the Fusion and Fiesta. Developed in-house by Ford Brazil, a production version could launch by 2014, according to Ford's press release. It's unclear what engines will sit under this car's hood, although we'd bet the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Fiesta will be available at some point.
Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.
2015 Ford Mustang option prices gallop onto the web
Tue, 22 Apr 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated cars of the year, despite the fact that production hasn't yet begun. What's a pony car fan to do? It turns out that Ford already has pricing and options information about the vehicle in its dealer ordering system. A few enterprising folks have snapped some pictures from it and have posted them online. You might not be able to drive your car yet, but you can at least see what it might cost.
At the moment, Ford appears to be splitting the Mustang into five models - 3.7-liter V6, 2.3-liter EcoBoost, GT with the 5.0-liter V8, 50th Anniversary and SVT. There are 10 available paint colors, 2 of which require an extra outlay. Triple Yellow is $495, and Ruby Red Tint is $395. Regardless of model, navigation goes for $795, and reverse parking assist is $295.
For both the EcoBoost and GT, the six-speed automatic tacks an extra $1,195 to the sticker, and adaptive cruise control is the same price. The GT also has a limited-slip 3.55 rear end for $395 and a GT Performance package for $2,495. Recaro leather seats add an extra $1,595. For the EcoBoost, there's something called EcoBoost Performance package for $1,995. The system doesn't say what the packages include.
