up for sale 1948 ford f-2roadster pickup,, choped top, sectioned 4 inches ,,Z ed 8 inches,,streched 40 inches shortened box model A front axle..oliptical front springs,. fresh build... fresh flathead rebuilt with new pistons rings valves tappits and the works has new style lifters and is set up to burn unledded gas. have 3000,00 in motor alone new cap,rotor,plugs, wires,points ,condencer new vacuum advance has rebuilt starter and rebuild kit in carb.. new altenator, new water pumps, new belts.. radiator has been steemed and baked .have driven this truck for about 300 miles it runs and drives great and runs at 160 to 180 degreese all day .it floats along very smooth and really is fun to drive,.truck has new brakes new wheel cyls,new master,, new lines,, rebuilt 3 speed transmission with lots of new parts including sinkerals new king pins, new shocks in rear. new floor mat .wood in bed is red oak,16 inch tires in back 15 in front. if you like it long this one has a 149 inch wheel base measuring 16 feet long front to back. i have had it to a couple of car shows ,it really gets the looks.

Ford posts record pre-tax Q3 profit of $2.6B
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Ford took in $2.6 billion in pre-tax profits in the third quarter of the year, making for a record trio of months that saw the Blue Oval's year-over-year earnings increase by $426 million. The earnings are being attributed not just to improvements in North American sales, but sales around the globe.
Revenue was up 12 percent, to $36 billion, although net income took a hit, dropping $359 million to $1.3 billion. Ford was dinged with $498 million in pre-tax charges, which are being blamed for the drop in net income.
The news has boosted Ford's hopes for full-year results, bumping it's total profits up past $8 billion, according to Automotive News. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer is still expecting a loss in Europe, although it's forecasted less than the $1.73 billion it burned in 2012. In fact, according to CFO Bob Shanks, Ford's European losses dropped by 51 percent year-over year, a huge improvement for the brand.
Shelby GT500 laps N"urburgring in under 7:40?
Wed, 30 Oct 2013A couple of weeks ago we brought you footage and official times of the new Chevy Camaro Z/28 lapping the Nürburgring. With a 7:37.47 lap time, the Z/28 emerged as the fastest muscle car ever to lap the circuit. But what was missing from that picture was how fast the king of all Mustangs, the Shelby GT500, could manage to lap the Nordschleife.
Ford never released any information or footage of the GT500 on the Nürburgring that we were aware of - that is, until the guys at SVTPerformance.com put in a request for Mustang videos. Among the clips they received was never-seen, in-car footage of the Shelby GT500 lapping the circuit. And boy did it hustle.
Although not quite official, the video seems to show the GT500 lapped the venerated German track in a touch under 7:40. That would make it a tick or two faster than the Camaro ZL1 - but what of the Z/28? By Chevy's quoted time, the Z/28 is still faster than the GT500, but SVTPerformance suggests GM may have fudged the numbers a bit and scrubbed half a second or so off their lap time.
