This truck is in excellent condition for its age. I purchased it in 08. In California. I drove my pickup out loaded it on a trailer and pulled it back with this truck. It used one half a quart of oil and the trip was around 1500 miles if I remember correctly. There are no major leaks. In the six years I've owned it. I have not bothered to tune it up. It does not miss and is reliable. The Ingersoll-Rand 175 ft.? per minute air compressor was fully serviced in 08, and shouldn't have over 30 hours on the service. The Ingersoll-Rand compressor has what I believe to be the original hour meter. It reads 2524.0. It is a three cylinder John Deere diesel. That starts well and runs the way it was designed. I have had no problems with this unit. The truck also has a lift more 3200 Crane. It has a 12 foot reach with a controller everything functions properly. There is a power cut off switch and battery just beneath the Crane that can be used to jumpstart the truck battery when properly maintained. Yes, you can charge the Crane battery with the truck's alternator by opening the circuit. It is been run regularly but not commercially. This truck could go to work tomorrow. Where needed. It has been touched up with fresh paint. This would make a great Sand Blast truck. Or jackhammer or concrete drill truck. I would like to keep it. But it's time to sell. The truck. The Crane and Ingersoll-Rand compressor all comic books. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.++No Delivery

Ford builds Lightweight Concept with Fusion shell [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014It's a fairly well known fact that removing weight from a car is essentially a panacea for many of the modern automobiles problems. Does it handle like crap? Remove weight. Underpowered? Don't add power; trim the fat. Need to improve fuel economy? It's diet time.
Actually executing a major weight reduction program, though, much like with human beings, is no easy task. Unlike you or I, where motivation is the issue, the prohibitive measure in trimming a car's waistline is money. Lightweight materials are expensive, with carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic still primarily in the domain of higher end vehicles. Even aluminum construction, pioneered on a mass-produced level by Audi and Jaguar, is only now starting to make its way into the mainstream, thanks to the upcoming Ford F-150.
With this concept, though, Ford is attempting to show that a mass-produced, lightweight vehicle isn't too far off. This is the Lightweight Concept, and while it may look like a Fusion, it weighs as much as a Fiesta. For reference, the lightest Fusion available to the public is the 3,323-pound, 2.5-liter model with a manual transmission. A manually equipped, 1.6-liter Fiesta, meanwhile, is just 2,537 pounds.
Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief
Thu, 29 May 2014The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.
Motorcycles and cars star in strangest drift battle ever
Thu, Sep 17 2015You really don't need a coherent plot to make a fun drifting video, and that's exactly the case with this clip from Icon Motorsports. Running over dirt, racetracks, and even Miami freeways, it features two generations of tuned Mustangs, a mean-sounding reverse-trike, and some high-powered bikes sliding around. The attempted story is fairly vapid, though. Things veer into the weird when Dax Shepard arrives to beat up an old BMW 7 Series by taking the big sedan off-road. Thankfully, the cinematography makes up for the plot shortcomings, and the drifting at least looks great on camera. It's always cool to see a mix of cars and bikes sliding around together in such close proximity. Just as a warning before clicking play, there's some not-safe-for-work language and humor in the video. This isn't the first car vs. motorcycle vs. whatever drifting video that's run on these pages, most from Icon. Here are links to the first, second and third installations in the series. As you can see, each new incarnation is a bit more outlandish than the last. And somehow, we'd wager that this fourth video probably won't be the last, either.
