1947 Ford Truck Sweet Old Truck on 2040-cars
Scott City, Missouri, United States
-You are bidding on a VERY Nice 1947 Pickup Truck! This truck is in great shape. It runs and drives excellent and the body on this truck is in great shape! Paint color is street-rod black and trimmed in red. It has a very strong running 350 V-8 motor that is backed with a 350 turbo automatic transmission. Runs and shifts out just as it is supposed to. This little street rod will get you all of the attention you want. I get thumbs up everywhere I go!!!! It will cruise down the HWY at 70 mph with no problems. You can fly in and drive this truck home....it runs THAT STRONG! It has all new limo tinted glass. The interior is in great shape and has a new dash with all new gauges. Has a good set of bucket-seats, but It is in need of a head-liner. Speed-O works, but not hooked up. So, not sure of the true mileage on the truck. Heater works and runs great. Lights and signals are working. It has a brand new Pioneer CD player and sounds great while you're cruisin' down the road enjoying your new ride! It also has new dual exhaust that really makes it sound good! Truck is setting on a brand new set of Kokar radial tires and a new set of smoothie wheels that cost approximately $1700 (which I just purchased) and it gives this truck that "Old School Gangster" look. This truck has a GM front clip and all of the front-end has been completely rebuilt. I spent $1500 just in parts alone - labor cost not included. It also has a 12 bolt GM rear-end. If you are looking for a very dependable street rod that will get there and bring you back as well as impress everybody along the way! If you don't like a lot of attention, then this truck is NOT for you. :-) I've tried to be as honest as I can with my description. If you have any questions, feel free to call me. This truck is being sold as is with no warranty implied. Buyer is responsible for all shipping. I will be glad to assist in anyway I can with loading the vehicle if needed. Truck is being sold with miles exempt. Terms of Payment: I will accept cash, cashiers check, money order, or wire transfer. Buyer will pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000 within 48 hrs at the end of the auction. The remainder of the balance to be paid within 7 days of the end of auction date. Again, please call with questions as I do not respond to e-mail inquiries. Thank you very much! Richard. 573-579-7310 |

Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]
Wed, 29 May 2013Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Scroll down for a quick video of what the Focus ST exhaust sounds like, as well as a Roush press release.
Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
NACTOY winners, and driving the Genesis GV60, Polestar 2, Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 | Autoblog Podcast #813
Fri, Jan 5 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Electric, John Beltz Snyder. This week, we discuss the North American Car, Truck and Utility of the year winners: The Toyota Prius, Kia EV6 and Ford Super Duty (and Greg explains his votes). In other news, we talk about GM offering $7,500 incentives for EVs that lost their tax credits, another possible calendar change for the Detroit Auto Show and Stellantis potentially scaling back its auto show presence. Greg spent his winter break with the Genesis GV60 and Polestar 2, while John has been driving the Toyota Prius Prime and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63. Finally, they take to Reddit for this week's Spend My Money question, and pick a sedan under $6,000. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
