1942 Ford pickup Rat Rod. 42 pickup body, custom sheet metal bed and 35 Ford pickup grill. Great running Ford 302 engine with serpentine belt drive and Edelbrock 4 barrel on aluminum intake. Mustang II front end with rack and pinion and power steering and power front disc brakes. 8.8 Ford rear end with big sway bar. Rebuilt C4 automatic trans and is also set up for standard trans if you want it. Truck was running and driving with 4 speed in it when I got it but I took the 4 speed out and installed the C4 and that is as far as I got. Fell and broke my pelvis and can't work on it. Engine runs very good and truck drives fine. This is a RAT ROD so it is going to need your own touches to get it like you want it. Doors open and close good and it has new glass in windshield but no side glass. Driveline is completely installed including driveshaft. It still needs transmission lines shifter and cooler, fuel line from fuel cell to engine, exhaust pipes and some minor wiring to be drivable now. Comes with widened fiberglass rear fenders but I think it looks better without them but that is up to buyer. This truck could be on the road with just a couple of days work. Has clean open title ready to go. Truck is for sale locally so auction could end at any time. You can call me at 972-231-7393 with questions.

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

2015 Ford F-150 pricing announced, aluminum-bodied truck up just $395
Mon, 28 Jul 2014The eagerly anticipated Ford F-150 has had its 2015 pricing announced, adding only a small amount to the pickup's total cost, despite its weight-saving aluminum body. The XL and XLT entry level models only see a $395 boost over the heavier, current-generation, 2014 truck.
The XL starts at $26,615 while the XLT rings up at $31,890. The increase for Lariat is up a similarly negligible $895, to $39,880. Going up the ladder, meanwhile, the leather-intensive King Ranch sees the biggest jump of the F-150 family, with prices increasing $3,515, to $49,460. Finally, picking up the top-end Platinum trim will cost an extra $3,055, with prices starting at $52,155.
The higher prices are being blamed not only on the aluminum bodies, which trim up to 700 pounds of body fat, but on increased levels of standard equipment. While we were expecting a price hike, the fact that the 2015 F-150's volume trims - Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Reuters that the XL and XLT alone cover 70 percent of F-150 sales - have had less than a $400 increase is hugely impressive.
