1989 Mustang 25th anniversary edition 5 speed 302

I purchased this car a couple of years ago and it might have been driven 1200 miles in that amount of time. When I purchased it the previous owner told me the engine is a built 306 and it looked like it was a very recent build. He never vacuumed and charged the ac system but everything is hooked up. I drover the car this past winter for 2 weeks while my truck was in the shop. The car is really quick with tons of power. Full Flowmaster 2 1/2 inch exhaust system with a BBK h-pipe. It is lowered all the way around and has 17 x 9 inch white cobra r wheels and tires that have about 1200 miles on them. New shocks up front to go with the lowering springs. The engine has a lot of goodies as well. It has a 140 mph cluster instead of the original 85. Thats makes it impossible to know the actual miles on the body. It comes with the original 85 mph dash cluster. I replaced the fuel pump and sender and the speedometer cable. I added the wheels and tires as well. A few gauges do not work with the 140 cluster becuase the rear plug but work fine with the 85 mph cluster installed. I never vacuumed and charged the a/c but I know the heat and defrost work because I used that this past winter when I drove it. One of the hinges is broken on the center console where the arm rest is. It is not a show car but it presents well. I had intentions of a multi layer show paint job and making this car perfect but could never get around to it. As you can see from the pictures the under side is great like factory. This is the last year for needed emissions on this year model. Next year there is no testing any more. I am moving to Denver in 2 weeks and have to sell it. I'm starting the bid at 3500.00 no reserve but I have a lot more than that in it. I am willing to meet the winner of the auction within 150 miles of Atlanta for 100.00 max and of course I will change the cost accordingly. I do have a clean title

Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.

Watch how Ken Block spent his weekend in Barbados

Thu, 22 May 2014

Regardless of what you think of his skill as a racer, Ken Block is an expert showman. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. Scroll down to watch the videos and get a taste of Block's tropical racing adventure.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup. The company has no plans to sell the truck in North America. Scroll down to read the official announcement, including the few details on its production.
