This 2005 Mustang GT is a modern interpretation of the iconic 1967 “Eleanor” GT500 from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. The car was professionally built by Autograf of Houston, TX. Under the hood, the 32-valve 4.6 L V-8 is equipped with an 8 PSI ProCharger supercharger system. Mated to a Classic Designs functional Shaker hood, stainless long tube headers, high flow catalytic converters, side exiting stainless exhaust, custom ECU mapping, billet pulleys and more, it generates a dyno-proven 471.59 horsepower.

The suspension is completely reworked to handle the almost 75% increase in rear-wheel horsepower and includes a Roush coil-over set up, billet upper control arms, adjustable lower control arms, adjustable Panhard bar, Steeda front and rear strut tower braces, gigantic 6-piston AP Racing brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and all stainless lines. The car rolls on 20” American Racing Shelby Special Edition alloy wheels with color matched Mineral Grey centers.

Other notable features include the Cervini body kit with Roush rear spoiler, billet grilles with inboard and outboard driving lamps as on the original Eleanor; Shelby badging, Shelby Le Mans stripes, Shelby-style wood steering wheel, shifter, and e-brake handles, a full roll bar, Saleen 200MPH speedometer and added boost gauge.

This Eleanor Tribute is in immaculate condition, having been driven just 1,771 mile. Included with purchase are the owner’s manual, complete receipts for the modifications, the ECU tuning module, the original purchase paperwork for the car, and a copy of the Mustangs and Fords Magazine article.

Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Donald Trump takes a shot at Ford's outsourcing practices in his most recent visit to Michigan. I'm Mylencia Gillenwaters and this is your Autoblog Minute. Presidential hopeful Donald Trump visited Birch Run, Michigan for a rally, and amidst talk of immigration and international trade, the GOP front runner discussed Ford's plan to build a manufacturing plant in Mexico: [00:00:30] [WXYZ NEWS CLIP] Autoblog reached out to Ford for comment. The Dearborn-based automaker offered this statement in response: "We are committed to leveraging our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to invest where it makes the best sense for our business. We are proud that we have invested $6.2 billion in our U.S. plants since 2011 and hired nearly 25,000 U.S. employees. [00:01:00] Overall, 80 percent of our North American investment annually is in the U.S., and 97 percent of our North American engineering is conducted in the U.S." As automakers compete in an increasingly global marketplace, debate around outsourcing is sure to remain a hot political topic. Ford leads top searched-for car brands on Google in 2014

Mon, Dec 22 2014

With less than two weeks until 2014 takes its final bow, anyone and everyone is looking back on the past 50 or so weeks to see how they stacked up. For search giant Google, that means its time to check out its annual Trends report. Besides the most popular search term (the late, great Robin Williams), the most searched for gadget (the iPhone 6) and most searched for disease symptoms (quite worryingly, Ebola took the crown here), we have the most searched for automaker. With the long-awaited sixth-generation of one of America's most iconic vehicles, the Mustang, and a ground-breaking update for the US market's perennial best seller, the F-Series, it should come as no surprise at all that Ford was Google's most searched for automaker in 2014. Jeep captured second place, while Dodge, took third. We suspect introducing a pair of cars with 707 horsepower had something to do with that bronze medal... Scroll down to see the rest of this year's most searched for automakers, and then head into Comments and let us know if you're surprised by any of these. This content is hosted by a third party. 2015 Roush Stage 3 Mustang has 670 hp

Fri, May 8 2015

My last speeding ticket was nearly two years ago while behind the wheel of a 2014 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Considering the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 produced 575 horsepower – the lowest of the Stage 3's tunes – an encounter with the friendly folks at the Michigan State Police seemed inevitable. With the 2015 Stage 3 producing 95 more horsepower, if and when I drive the new supercharged 'Stang, another meeting with Michigan's finest seems likely. The combination of the Ford 5.0-liter V8 and a 2.3-liter TVS supercharger turns out 670 horsepower, which should have owners of the weightier Dodge Challenger Hellcat at least a bit nervous. All that power is complemented by 545 pound-feet of torque and what is almost certainly an ear-shattering exhaust note from the quad-tip pipes. On top of the RS3's trademark sound and speed, Roush has fitted the sixth-generation Mustang's body with a new "R7" aero kit that actually looks toned down from last year's car. 20-inch "Quicksilver" wheels are standard, although Roush is offering a pair of optional designs. Either way, Cooper RS3 tires are the rubber of choice. Prices for the Roush Stage 3 Mustang start at $21,995, not including the $32,300 starting price of a Mustang GT donor car. Scroll down for the official press release. Related Video: ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang Produces 670 HP May 7, 2015 – PLYMOUTH, MICHIGAN – ROUSH Performance is excited to announce final horsepower ratings for the all-new 2015 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang. The RS3 is cranking out a heart-racing 670 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque to deliver the ultimate driving experience. All 670 horsepower are created as a direct result of the powerful combination of Ford's 5.0L V8 engine with ROUSH Performance's dynamic new 2015 2.3L TVS supercharger. The new ROUSH Mustang's generous power ratings impeccably compliment the RS3's list of standard and optional features, including the ROUSH Quad-Tip exhaust (with optional ROUSH Active Exhaust System), standard single-adjustable coilover suspension system (or optional competition-tuned 3-way adjustable system), and the fierce new "R7" aerobody. The 2015 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang is not just a car – it's an experience. The RS3 truly bridges the gap between road car and race car, putting drivers behind the wheel of the ultimate uninhibited muscle car.
