2011 Mustang GT Premium. This is not a Roush edition. I did not like the Roush ride, suspension or tune. I decided to customize what I liked from Roush. I visited their shop and spoke with some of the folks there. Very good condition. No accidents or body work. Factory Options: - Brembo edition. 14 inch 4 piston front brakes- Power drivers and passengers seats (rare option)- 6 Speed manual transmission- 3.73 rear end gear ratio (same axle as GT500)- Sirius radio with shaker 500 Aftermarket equipment: - Roush TVS2300 supercharger. This is an intercooled SC with fuel delivery upgrade. Fairly large intercooler installed in front of the radiator with Ford Racing intercooler pump. Does not get heat sink like a GT500. Google Brenspeed for their Corvette Killer. Makes 591RWHP, 488 RWTQ on 93 octane gas. 47lb injectors. Max safe tune which gets 23mpg at 78mph and 24.5 at 62mph.- Carbon fiber one piece drive shaft.- Boss 302 oil cooler. This is to keep the engine safe!- BMR safety loop.- BMR lower control arm relocation brackets.- Whiteline lower control arms.- BMR watts link. You can see this from the undercarriage photo. This device gives the car flat handling that a rear sway bar cannot without the harsh ride.- Energy suspension shifter bushing. No additional noise and quick, firm shifts.- Tokico D-spec shocks, struts, Ford racing P springs. Drop is about 1 inch. Tokicos allow adjustment from super firm to super soft. Note the remote adjusters in the trunk so you do not have the lift the liner. I have the key on my keychain to adjust.- GT500 axle backs. Provide very cool sound with zero drone.- Exedy 500 clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing. Allows for no slippage if you ran slicks (which I never have). About 25% firmer pedal than stock. The original clutch never slipped, but I didnt want to do these modifications half way.- Gauge pods. The top is the Aeroforce interceptor, then oil temperature sensor, boost gauge. Max boost is about 10psi.- Striping is my own design which I get compliments on very frequently.- Pirelli all seasons P Zero Nero. 245s front and 275s rear. Nearly new. Great grip in wet or cooler temps with Boss 302 LS knockoff wheels which have TPMS installed.- Nitto Drag radials mounted on 18 x 10 wheels rear and 18 x 9 front. The fronts have Nitto 555 Extreme tires. Very low miles. Mounted on drift wheels from American Muscle. Have TPMS sensors installed. These are basically new and are included in the auction.- SCT tuner. Tuned by Brenspeed in Indiana.- Retrofit HID projector bi-xenon 55 watt headlights. I modified these myself. Took hours to install the lens. I also have the factory lights.- Pioneer upgraded speakers in doors and rear panel.- Lloyds custom floor mats. This car is about a 95/100. A few scratches, etc.

Scandal-rocked UAW extends Ford, FCA contracts, prepares to strike GM
Fri, Sep 13 2019DETROIT — Leaders of the United Auto Workers union have extended contracts with Ford and Fiat Chrysler indefinitely, but the pact with General Motors is still set to expire Saturday night. The move puts added pressure on bargainers for both sides as they approach the contract deadline and the union starts to make preparations for a strike. The contract extension was confirmed Friday by UAW spokesman Brian Rothenberg, who declined further comment on the talks. The union has picked GM as the target company, meaning it is the focus of bargaining and would be the first company to face a walkout. GMÂ’s contract with the union is scheduled to expire at 11:59 p.m. Saturday. ItÂ’s possible that the four-year GM contract also could be extended or a deal could be reached, but itÂ’s more likely that 49,200 UAW members could walk out of GM plants as early as Sunday because union and company demands are so far apart. Picket line schedules already have been posted near the entrance to one local UAW office in Detroit. Art Wheaton, an auto industry expert at the Worker Institute at Cornell University, expects the GM contract to be extended for a time, but he says the gulf between both sides is wide. “GM is looking through the windshield ahead, and it looks like nothing but land mines,” he said of a possible recession, trade disputes and the expense of developing electric and autonomous vehicles. “I think thereÂ’s really going to be a big problem down the road in matching the expectations of the union and the willingness of General Motors to be able to give the membership what it wants.” Plant-level union leaders from all over the country will be in Detroit on Sunday to talk about the next steps, and after that, the union likely will make an announcement. But leaders are likely to face questions about an expanding federal corruption probe that snared a top official on Thursday. Vance Pearson, head of a regional office based near St. Louis, was charged with corruption in an alleged scheme to embezzle union money and spend cash on premium booze, golf clubs, cigars and swanky stays in California. ItÂ’s the same region that UAW President Gary Jones led before taking the unionÂ’s top office last year. Jones and other union executives met privately at a hotel at Detroit Metropolitan Airport on Friday. After the meeting broke up, JonesÂ’ driver and others physically blocked an AP reporter from trying to approach him to ask questions.
2017 will be the year the connected car becomes a reality
Fri, Jan 13 20172016 was full of talk of autonomy, but little action beyond crazy, futuristic concept cars and announcement after announcement from automakers. If this year's CES is any indication, 2017 is going to focused on connectivity. More than that, CES showed that traditional barriers between automakers are breaking down in favor of universal and open source technology standards that will benefit both consumers and developers. CES, traditionally a showcase for the latest and greatest technology and gadgets like flat-screen refrigerators or televisions that broadcast in the fifth dimension, has become so intwined with the auto industry that we at Autoblog cover it like any other auto show. At every CES event I attended and nearly every booth I went to, there was some talk, display, or demonstration of how cars will connect to your phone and your home, and eventually each other. It seems we're heading toward the tech singularity where all devices work under one cohesive ecosystem – the Internet of Things, if you like. The difference between autonomy and connectivity is how real the latter feels because so much of the connected tech on display at CES is either here already or will be here by the end of the year. There were dozens of demos, both big and small, that allowed us to test and explore what's on the horizon. Bridging the gap between home and car, Ford is integrating the Amazon Alexa personal assistant straight into its vehicles. That means you'll be able to talk to Alexa in your car just like you would through an Echo or Dot at home. It also means you can shop on Amazon by voice while you're driving (since that wasn't convenient enough already). Samsung is developing smartwatch applications for Ford, BMW, and others. Toyota is adopting Ford's SmartDeviceLink smartphone connectivity system for its vehicles. That means developers can have one app that works across multiple infotainment systems. The Linux Foundation is developing an open-source operating system that will be free to use, making it easier for developers to connect smartphones and apps across multiple manufacturers' systems. Automotive Grade Linux, or AGL, is available for download right now. Major automakers like Toyota and Daimler (who usually are set on competing with one another) are partnering to further the development of the project. Bosch, Hyundai, and Chrysler showed connected car concepts at CES that preview the future of automobiles.
Ford will build Hackmobile out of Transit Connect Wagon
Fri, 27 Dec 2013What you see in the above image is a rendering of the Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon. What is that? It's a "mobile fabrication and hacking unit" that includes tools for metal- and woodworking, 3D and electronics fabrication, a three-axis CNC machine called "The Fabber," a video projector and screen, an air compressor, an 84x48-inch work surface that folds out like a Murphy bed and oh so much more. When not in use, all of the implements fold neatly into the back of Ford's award-winning van.
But perhaps the more important question is why is that? Because Make Magazine held an Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge in conjunction with Ford in which ten teams created were charged with creating "the ultimate Ford Transit Connect Wagon for the do-it-yourself enthusiast." Team Twin Cities Maker won the competition with the Hackmobile, and in addition to winning $10,000, Ford has declared it's actually going to build the thing - which is great, because if they can actually engineer a road-legal Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon as envisioned, the inevitable A-Team movie reboot might need to think about including it.
Check out the video below for a cheeky walk-through of the Hackmobile, and get all the particulars in the press release below that.
