NO RESERVE SO BID TO WIN!! Up for sale is my 2003 Ford Roush Mustang GT. It is 1 of only 14 Oxford White cars produced in 2003. The car is near flawless inside and out and has several 1st place trophies that will go with the car. It only has just rolled 20,xxx original miles and was autographed by Jack Roush at a car show that it took first place in. It is by no means stock as far as the engine and drivetrain. It has a fully built stroker motor by MMR that was just installed as well as several other parts that I will list below, all parts have less than 750 miles on them. The motor still has a remaining warranty from MMR (expires 10/1/2014). MMR has a proven record of building the best modular motors and they currently hold several world records to prove it. I have an absolute fortune in this car and understand that I will not get the money I invested back out of it, but I will not give the car away and I don't have to sell it. It was built and tuned at B&R Performance as seen on Discovery Chanel's "Street Outlaws" and made 525rwhp on a conservative pump gas tune. SCT handheld tuner will be included and can hold 3 tunes. If you added a methanol kit, bumped the timing up a bit and ran it on race gas the car will easily make another 150+rwhp. I wanted to keep the car on 91 pump gas so the tune is rather conservative. Very daily drivable if desired. There were no expenses spared and only the best parts were used. I have over $40k in this car and asking price is $26,000 obo. I have that just in receipts.  I have a brand new set of staggered(18x9 & 18x10.5) black FR500 wheels with brand new tires that can be included for an additional price. The brand new rear tires are Mickey Thompson 305/35/18 drag radials. Also have a brand new 4"cowl hood that can be included too. The car has a clean title and carfax and there is no lien on it. Below are the basics of what the car is. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bids!

Motor:
MMR 750se 4.75 Stroker (Manley Rods & Pistons, 9.5:1cr)

I'm sure i'm leaving stuff out, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I have documentation as well as the original window sticker and a folder full of receipts for everything done. The car has always been garaged and never seen rain or snow. There's also a framed picture of the car that Roush autographed that will go with the trophies. I will consider trades as partial payment but i'm not interested in your junk. I can be reached by email or on my cell phone at 405-412-0one5five. If I don't answer, leave a message or send me a text and I will return your call asap. Other pictures available upon request and i'm available to show the car between 9:00a.m. -10:00p.m. Also, no joyrides or tire kickers. Thanks!

Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.

2021 BMW M3 and M4 vs all the high-powered sport sedans and coupes

Wed, Sep 23 2020

Should you have a found a way to get past that schnoz, you've probably digested some of the basic specs for the all-new 2021 BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe specs. They're plenty impressive. There's also, basically, two sets of them thanks to the regular and Competition versions that differ in engine output and transmission type.  But how do they compare to other ultra sport sedans and coupes? Well, we were wondering that too, so we fired up the Autoblog Comparison Spreadsheet Generator 5000 (aka me chained to my computer in a dark basement).  Sadly, there are surprisingly few competitors for the 2021 BMW M3. Rival sedans include the Mercedes-AMG C 63 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, along with the Audi RS 5 Sportback sedan/coupe/hatchback thing. There's no more Lexus IS F, the Cadillac CT4 Blackwing has yet to arrive and Jaguar doesn't offer a spicy XE R.  Happily, there are more coupe rivals for the 2021 BMW M4, including the two-door versions of the AMG and Audi as well as the Lexus RC F. I also included the Ford Shelby GT350 and Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE. On paper, they align incredibly well. On the street and on a track, I can personally attest that these Americans are fully capable of keeping up and/or bettering the fancy-pants luxury brands (and let's not forget there are even more powerful, hardcore versions available). If they don't align in terms of price or prestige, whatever. OK, let's get to the spreadsheet. Let's start with the coupes and note that I didn't bother listing the dimensions for the M4 Competition and C 63 S as they are identical to their "lesser" siblings.  I won't bother burning words explaining what you can see on the chart. Instead, I'll point out a few things that stood out to me. First, BMW M comes awfully close to matching the output of AMG's twin-turbo V8 despite having two fewer cylinders. Similarly, Audi manages to better the 0-60 time of the M4 Competition and tie the C 63 S despite being WAY down on power. It's not like it weighs less. Magic? Second, and speaking of 0-60 times, remember the importance that transmission and drivetrain make with them. It's not just horsepower and torque. An automatic will be quicker and easier to launch than a manual, while all-wheel drive provides more instantaneous and beneficial grip.

Consumer Reports: Ford Fusion fun but flawed; Mitsubishi i-MiEV slow, chintzy [w/videos]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Waiting for a Ford compliment from Consumer Reports these days is like waiting for a low-cost new product from Apple. So we weren't really expecting a glowing review of the 2013 Ford Fusion when CR got its hands on the car. The institute's crew bought three different versions of the Fusion (Hybrid, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a Titanium with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost) to put through its barrage of tests, and while we aren't too surprised by some of the findings, they're still interesting nonetheless.
CR praises the Fusion for its "eye-catching" design and says that the sportier Titanium trim level is the best-handling midsize sedan they've ever tested, but that's about where the good news ends for Ford. The Fusion Hybrid also posted the best-ever fuel economy CR has recorded in a midsize sedan, but the only problem is that their number was 39 miles per gallon combined - far less than Ford's 47 mpg rating for city, highway and combined. As expected, CR also dinged the Fusion for its MyFord Touch, but some of the other gripes about the car include a cramped cabin and poor fit and finish.
Other Ford products tested this time around include the Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid. Like the Fusion, CR's observed fuel economy of 37 mpg for the C-Max fell well short of Ford's advertised 47-mpg rating, and both cars were criticized for the use of MyFord Touch. CR notes that the Focus Electric's interior is also cramped, with the battery pack taking up a lot of cargo space.
