This car needs $1000 to $1500 worth of work before being used as a daily car, but it does start and is drivable and if fixed is a pretty awesome car or this car can be used as parts, it has many aftermarket performance upgrades that ill list later. But first let me list the problems that would need to be fixed prior to that. First off, the cars manual transmission needs services, it will not go into 2nd gear and 3rd gear is starting to become tough to get into. The title is a rebuilt title, I bought the car with 18,000 miles on it with this rebuilt title due to previous owner having had this car stolen and the aftermarket rims he had on it were stolen, due to theft and car being stolen for a couple days before it was recovered, it was marked as a rebuilt title for some reason. The car was not damaged and the car has run as normal as a normal car since my purchase. Car also needs new tires. Also the drivers side seat has a repairable tear in it , other then that the interior looks great with no signs of sun damage or any other wear and tear. The radio antenna also needs to be replaced for $85 but the 6 disk 6 changer works great and sounds great. I have always replaced oil with synthetic oil on time and the motor runs great, same as the day I bought it. The car has a fresh paint job and has a brand new battery. some aftermarket parts on the car include; 1. Flow master dual exhaust with a x pipe. 2. K&N cold air intake kit with a brand new k&n air filter with power performance throttle body and spacer for a 25-35 horsepower increase and elevated mpg. 3. Viper security system with 2 keyless entry remotes 4. Eibach pro kit suspension with coils, shocks, struts, sway bars with a million mile factory warranty. 5. bb&k upper and lower control arm kit 6. bb&k pulley kits 7. bb&k chassis Subframe connectors for a much tighter feel in driving. total cost for aftermarket parts purchased and installed is several thousand dollars.

Detroit automakers mulling helping DIA avoid bankruptcy looting
Tue, 13 May 2014It's not really a secret that the city of Detroit is in lots and lots of trouble. Even with an emergency manager working to guide it through bankruptcy, a number of the city's institutions remain in very serious danger. One of the most notable is the Detroit Institute of Arts, a 658,000-square-foot behemoth of art that counts works from Van Gogh, Picasso, Gauguin and Rembrandt (not to mention a version of Rodin's iconic "The Thinker," shown above) as part of its permanent collection.
Throughout the bankruptcy, the DIA has been under threat, with art enthusiasts, historians and fans of the museum concerned that its expansive collection - valued between $454 and $867 million by Christie's - could be sold by the city to help square its $18.5-billion debt.
Now, though, Detroit's hometown automakers could be set to step up and help save the renowned museum. According to a report from The Detroit News, the charitable arms of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler could be set to donate $25 million as part of a DIA-initiated campaign, called the "grand bargain." As part of the deal, the DIA would seek $100 million in corporate donations as part of a larger attempt at putting together an $816-million package that would be paid to city pension funds over 20 years. Such a move would protect the city's art collection from being sold off.
2016 Ford Focus RS mule spotted on US soil
Tue, 17 Jun 2014Okay Ford, this is what we like to see. One of our intrepid spy photographers has captured a vehicle that we weren't even sure would see the light of day - the next Focus RS. While this is pretty clearly a mule based on the current Focus ST, as our spy points out, there are a number of giveaways about this hot hatch's true nature.
Indication number one that all is not right with this Focus is the heavily camo'd front fascia, which has been completely reconfigured for duty on the RS. It boasts significantly larger grilles that are meant to accommodate what is likely the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder that's destined for the 2015 Ford Mustang. Considering that, then, we can expect around 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque from the hottest of Foci, although it's entirely possible that the production model could climb even higher, to around 330 hp.
The front fascia tweaks are complemented in the back by a modified rear bumper, which fails at hiding a pair of exhaust tips quite unlike the standard Focus ST's center-exit exhaust. Other obvious changes include the wheel/tire/brake package on this particular car. Larger 19-inch wheels are shod in super-sticky Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in 235/35/19 while the brakes feature what we think are four-piston calipers, possibly from Brembo, up front.
