1991 Mustang GT Convertible - High end driver quality condition. I have owned her since 1998. Body is solid, which includes floors, trunk, doors truck deck lid and hood. Never any rust. The car has never been in a serious accident. When I purchased the car it was all original. I decided to restored the car with a complete new paint job about 6 years ago with the original bright red. Everything was removed from the body when the repaint was done. This was done by a professional custom paint guy with PPG paint. The interior is all original black leather. The convertible top was replaced 6 years ago as well. The motor and transmission are original as well with 95,500 miles. The motor has never been modified and is all stock. Here is a list of all the options etc: - Power windows, locks, mirrors and convertible top. All work perfect. - Factory A/C (needs to be recharged) - Cruise Control (Does not work) - Black leather seats with power lumbar - 3:73 rear diff with factory limited slip - Air Induction air filter system - MSD ignition module and MSD coil and Distributor - Custom tuned larger Mas airflow sensor - Edelbrock Throttle Body - 3 core Aluminum Radiator - Electric flex-a-lite Fan - High Output Alternator - Heavy Duty Ford Motorsport Clutch ( replaced 6 years ago) - Heavy duty adjustable aluminum clutch quadrant - Ford Motorsport Headers - H Pipe (not Cats) - 2.5 in Dynamax Exhaust system - welded sub-frame connectors - Chrome 16 in Pony Rims - New Dunlop Tires - Hurst Shifter - New Rack and pinion - New Springs and Shocks - Alpine Stereo with 6 CD Changer - Run Mobil 1 synthetic oil since 1998 Many more upgrades to much to list! Every option works except the A/C and Cruise Control. I believe that the A/C needs to be recharged and I have never looked into the cruise control. I have never had a problem with this car. The motor runs very strong and the T5 shifts smoothly. She is a blast to drive and always gets the thumbs up! There are not many of these fox bodies around especially in this good of original condition. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!! Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.
What next for Alan Mulally?
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Alan Mulally has emerged as a hero when it comes to American manufacturing. He came to Ford in 2006 after serving as head of Boeing's commercial aircraft division, streamlined operations, sold off the costly elements of its Premier Automotive Group and saved Ford from having to be bailed out by the federal government like its cross-town rivals Chrysler and General Motors did. But as we reported mere days ago, he's widely expected to step down from the chief executive's office at Ford shortly.
So what's next for one of the most successful executives in the business? Hard to say, but don't expect Mulally to disappear into retirement. Though he didn't ultimately take the top job at Microsoft, industry insiders expect to see him in another influential position - likely as a board director or even chairman of another company. (We say "another company" and not Ford because while Bill Ford may have stepped aside as CEO to bring Mulally on board in the first place, we don't see him giving up his chairmanship of the board also.)
Mulally has likely already lined up his next move, and could either announce what that move will be as soon as Ford confirms Mark Fields as his successor, or could wait awhile. Insiders speculate that he could leverage his transportation and aerospace experience into a position at General Electric or a major airline, his manufacturing expertise to benefit a company like Procter & Gamble or his management skills at a consultancy firm.
