1987 Ford Mustang Gt on 2040-cars
Galena, Illinois, United States
Contact only by mail : melbae4ci3@bikerider.com For sale is a 1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. This car is all original. We arethe 3rd owner of this car that was originally from Texas and has been storedindoors for most of its life. Although we live in NY, it has NEVER seen thewinter or snow. It has the following original items: all of the interior, bootcover & bag, convertible top w/glass, owners manual, turbine wheels (they arenot all scuffed up or spider cracked), engine: it has the original 5.0 motorwhich has NOT BEEN MODIFIED and runs strong, 5 speed transmission which shiftsexcellent. The only thing that is not original is the paint as we eliminated theluggage rack on the trunk and added the spoiler and stripes for a sporty look.During the paint process the car was sanded, primed and painted: the body panelsare perfectly straight, there were no dings or dents that required bondo (noaccidents, shopping cart mishaps, etc...). Over the years, we have acquired afew spare parts which include a front nose clip and both left and right lowerside skirts with the embossed logo. These parts are NOS and we may be willing toinclude these with the sale. There is a small scuff in the paint on the rearbumper that happened during transportation (my own stupidity). This is a 30 yearold car that may have minor blemishes to some. If you're looking for a FoxBody Mustang and love them as I do, this is a perfect daily driver or even for aweekend car show.

Lincoln 'not true luxury' yet, says Ford design chief
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Lincoln is "not true luxury," according to Ford's design boss, J Mays. His statements come from a story in The Detroit News that saw candid language on the issues facing Ford's troubled premium brand. Notably, there's a need for a strong character, with Mays saying, "Every brand needs to have a DNA and a unique selling point and things in the vehicle that make you think, 'That's that particular brand.'"
With a range of rebadged Fords, it's not hard to see why that DNA is missing. Mays hinted that a full recovery for Lincoln will be a ten-year process, that's been kicked off with the MKZ sedan. While that car is still largely a Ford Fusion under its extremely pretty wrapper, it's the first Lincoln in some time to inject its own unique take both through the exterior styling and through interior features, such as the vertical, pushbutton gear selection.
Some analysts weren't so certain about Mays' 10-year estimate. Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics thinks it'll be more like 30 years before Lincoln can show a true return to form. The issue, as Hall explains it, is that, "luxury has a degree of exclusivity," that Lincoln just doesn't have. Michelle Krebs from Edmunds adds, "it's definitely a wanna-be luxury brand," comparing the troubled American brand with Infiniti and Acura, two other brands that have struggled to find their place in the luxury market.
2015 Ford Mustang fuel economy ratings leaked
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Thinking about buying a new Mustang, but want to know what kind of fuel economy it'll get? Well we have our first indication as the pony-car enthusiasts over at Mustang6G.com have gotten a hold of the Monroney window stickers for a few of the new 2015 Mustang models.
Although the V8 model is not among them, we can now see how the EPA has rated those models with a half dozen pistons or less. The Mustang EcoBoost with the turbo four and a manual transmission has been rated at 22 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway. The V6 manual gets 17 city and 28 highway, while the V6 automatic squeezes out a bit more in the city at 19 mpg but carries the same 28 highway rating.
By way of comparison, the latest Chevy Camaro with the V6 and a stick shift gets the same 17/28 EPA rating as a similarly equipped new 'Stang, and the V6 automatic Camaro gets 18/27 (slightly behind the Ford, but if you opt for the Camaro 2LS with its V6, automatic and 2.92 rear axle ratio, you'll be looking at 19 and 30).
Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company
Thu, 03 Oct 2013
That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.
