I am selling my 1986 Mustang GT. I purchased a new Mustang which is the reason this one is up for sale. I am going to describe the car to the best of my knowledge and also include any flaws that I know about the car so any potential buyer will not get any surprises. The car has been a project of mine and I got it where I wanted it but now it's ready for someone else to make it perfect. Please ask any questions you may have and I will answer them as best I can.

Before Bidding on this item , make sure you

-Are not a scammer

- have checked with your mom, wife, bank, whatever

-have the money

-Have asked all questions and read the whole ad and know what your bidding on.

Here are the details of the car. Please ask any questions. Car is available to look at in 19014 zip code.

-Red exterior. Repaint in early 2000's. looks good and shines great but has small cosmetic flaws from being older (ding and chips maybe some scratches). 3 inch cowl hood. Finished and painted underneath. Brand new M/T ET radials 255/60/15 and ET Front runners 26x4.5. All tires have about 5-10 miles tops. Zero Burnouts ever!! The wheels are Centerline Convo Pro's 15x4 and 15x8. The front's were professionally powdercoated and the rears were painted to match. They have brand new Mcguard stainless lugnuts. One stud in the front left is stripped.

-Maroon interior. Very clean and complete. CD Player, PW, 50k mile front seats that are beautiful, rear seats are good shape but faded and pass side window regulator is bad (but still works). Drivers side window switches need to be put back into the door panel.

-Autoguage Monster Tach and piller pod with Temp and volt guage

-rebuilt '91 302 motor with new crank, rods and factory 4 valve pistons.

-ARP head studs & Cometic MLS head gaskets.

-Heads are AFR 185 Aluminum and fresh out of the machine shop. milled 60cc, resurfaced, 5 angle valve job and new valves.

-Trick Flow R-series powder coated black Upper and lower intake set.

- 24lb injectors with Ford Mass air conversion

-Kirbans billet Fuel pressure regulator

-Comp Cams Ultra gold Series Rocker arms ($300) with Custom Smith Brothers .117 pushrods ($165)

-75mm EGR delete plate

-larger throttle body, mass air pipe and air filter

-BBK Long tube headers, catless X-pipe and 1 chamber Flowmasters with turndowns. (Has header gasket leak)

-New coolant temp, plugs, Motorsports wires, MSD Cap & Rotor, Coil, thermostat,  aluminum radiator

-stock 5 speed trans with new clutch and shifter I believe is a short throw

-8.8 Rear was rebuilt with 3.73 gears.

-Underside is rust free from what I can see and was undercoated some time ago. The rear hatch has the typical rust bubbling in spots. The rust is under the paint .

-The car could use a new alternator (charges fine but noisy) and maybe a new IAC ( sometimes idles up).

-The car starts up great and runs awesome. It pulls hard and is very loud. If I hung on to it I would have it tuned (to optimize everything and increase drivability) but I waited on this because I was going to put a supercharger on it first. I picked up a Turbo Charged car so I never got to this.

Here's what comes with the car. Set of beater pony's that need refinish and tires that hold air fine but are dry rotted. Also comes with the car is a new Alternator, IAC motor, Trick Flow 75mm TB and a gasket kit to change everything over.

Message me with any questions!

Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Maybe so. The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.

3dCarbon now offering body kit for Ford Fusion

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

A factory-backed body kit by 3dCarbon is now available to Ford Fusion owners who want their car to stand out from the crowd while not being too flashy. The body kit adds a more aggressive front spoiler, side skirts, rear body trim and spoiler that are, in fact, integrated quite nicely into the Fusion's already-comely styling, just as 3dCarbon claims. All Fusions with the kit also receive dual exhaust ports with the stainless-steel exhaust surrounds usually reserved for the Titanium package Fusion EcoBoost models.
A nice detail of 3dCarbon's injection-molded urethane body kit is that it has undergone crash testing to certify that it can withstand crashes up to five miles per hour. Because of this, the kit is warrantied by 3dCarbon for five years or 50,000 miles, much like Ford's warranty on its own parts. In fact, the kit is available through participating Ford dealers and can be financed through Ford Motor Credit. Buyers can purchase the kit - pre-painted or unpainted - and install it themselves, or it can be purchased with a new Ford Fusion and installed at the dealer, pre-painted to factory specifications. Of course, it can also be ordered directly from the source. Take a look at the press release below for more detailed information on the body kit, and let us know what you think of it in Comments.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
