Factory V-8 351 H Code, Yellow, White Interior, Factory AC car with PS and front Power Disk Brakes. Drives very
good and I think better than a restored car. One owner till I purchased the car. Purchased new in Farmville, North
Carolina ( a WWII Pilot) and buyer lived about 30 miles away in Kinston, NC. Car has been garaged or in a hanger
its whole life ( I bought it out of a hanger!). Car is very original and is as straight and just about rust free
as you will ever find, and try to find one that never had undercoating that is not rusted ( see video below of
underside of the car). The benefit of this car is you know how it was built as you click off the option sheet all
the options are still present. See the photo of the option sheet. The car had a repaint its original color yellow
many years back and has chips in a number of areas and in the sun you notice some fade spots on the yellow paint.
It does look presentable, but not a show repaint in any way. The top is white and may be the original top. It is
very tender and needs replacement very soon, but I have been enjoying it with the top down. See the original
window sticker- not a reproduction this is the original one. The original owners card. I have a copy of the
original title. I also have the original build sheet. It really does not get any better. I just put a new set of
Hankook Optimo white wall tires on the car ( not shown in photos) and replaced the plugs, cap and rotor and fuel
filter. Replaced the valve cover gaskets and replaced some brake lines. Car runs very good. The AC is compete,
but not blowing cold. The lights and signals work. Original Am radio not working. Dash lights and interior lights
not working. Working fuel gauge and speedometer and odometer, but the oil pressure gauge and temp gauge not
registering. Have original jack, but do not have a spare or lug wrench.

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy

Sun, 31 Aug 2014

Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).

Pickup sales may hit 2M units for first time since 2007

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

Even as fuel prices creep back up, trucks are still a hot item among new-vehicle shoppers. To see how popular pickup trucks still are, you don't have to look any further than how much effort automakers put into the continual one-upmanship of their trucks. Backing this fact up, USA Today is reporting that the segment could top two million sales this year - a total not matched since 2007, though still far from the pre-recession, three-million-unit levels.
Through August, the Ford F-Series continues to be the segment leader with almost 500,000 units sold, but the Chevy Silverado (328,269), Ram 1500 (234,642), GMC Sierra (122,232) and Toyota Tacoma (110,293) are all seeing at least 20-percent sales increases, helping to account for around 1.44 million truck sales so far this year - not including possible outliers like the Suzuki Equator and Chevy Avalanche.
This year alone, General Motors has completely redesigned its fullsize trucks, Ram and Toyota have significantly updated their offerings, the next-gen Ford F-150 will be out next year and Nissan is promising an all-new Titan around the same time with an eventual Cummins diesel under the hood. It would seem, then, that truck sales are poised to continue their upward trend.

Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.
