1967 Mustang Fastback GT390!
Up for sale is this 1967 Mustang Fastback. This car has been complete restored mechanically
and cosmetically in and out. Very rare and desirable raven black with red interior is a gorgeous
combination that will receive lots of attention and compliments at car shows. This car is loaded
with options from the factory such as the GT equipment group, 4spd manual transmission
mated to the optional S code 390 GT. Power steering and original 9 inch rear with the limited
slip 3.25 axle ratio. Sport deck fold down rear seat and tinted glass. Also, the factory air
conditioning, tilt steering wheel, deluxe wood grain steering wheel and AM/FM stereo
compliment the car.All of the chrome,
trim and glass are in excellent shape. The red GT stripe really sets this car apart.
Interior: The entire interior is completely restored and loaded with Ford options like air
conditioning, console, tilt away steering, factory 6K tach and original AM/FM stereo.
The tilt away steering works like it should and even the AM/FM radio works too! The dash
pad, door panels and carpet are in excellent shape. The upholstery is in very nice shape. The
rear seat bottom does have 2 seams that have come undone but this is not noticeable. The
headliner is in good shape. All the fiberglass interior panels are in nice shape and the fold down
seat as well.
Engine: The correct engine was professionally rebuilt earlier this year by a gentleman that has
been rebuilding FE engines for over 30 years. The engine now has less than 1000 miles on it.
New carb, new radiator and much more. It runs perfect and real strong. The engine runs
nice and cool with good oil pressure. I will post a video of it running
Transmission: The clutch is smooth and new with no chatter and transmission shifts just
like it should in all 4 gears. Has the original shifter that works like it should.
Suspension, steering and brakes: All these items have been rebuild and work like they should.
The car has original power steering and power disc brakes up front. The car goes down the road
straight and doesn't pull to either side.
Wheels and tires: Original steel styled wheels with nice white letter tires that have plenty of tread.
This car is turn key read to enjoy. A classic car that will only increase in value. There are no
surprises with this car. Everything works like it should

Ford sticking with manuals for RS models
Wed, Feb 4 2015Traditional stick-shift gearboxes may be losing ground quickly to dual-clutch transmissions, but Ford knows what hot hatch enthusiasts want. That's why it's sticking with manual transmissions on its RS models for the foreseeable future. The Blue Oval automaker caught our attention yesterday when it revealed the new Focus RS, packing an upgraded version of the turbo four from the Mustang, a trick new all-wheel-drive system and an old-school six-speed manual. After speaking to Ford's product chief Raj Nair at the hot hatch's launch, Autocar reports that the six-speed is here to stay. "All our current research says that customers really like these kinds of cars to have a manual gearbox," Nair told the British publication. "We'll keep looking at market trends, and of course we'll give customers what they want, but for now the manual stays." Autocar further suggests that the same principle will apply to any further Rallye Sport models, so if and when a Fiesta RS rolls around, it's likely it will stick with a stick as well. Although the less potent Focus ST is offered in diesel and wagon forms overseas, wherever it's sold and in whatever form, the six-speed stays a constant in that model as well, just as it does in the smaller Fiesta ST. That doesn't mean that other Ford Performance models won't go without a clutch pedal, though. The new GT employs a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the new F-150 Raptor channels its muscle through a ten-speed automatic. But as far as Ford's hot hatches go, it looks like the manual will remain alive and well. Mustang GT350 reveal coming Nov 17?
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Ford looks to have something really big planned for the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Blue Oval has released the first of five teaser videos on the brand's performance heritage, and aside from some great images of racers over the years, the video includes a series of teaser images, the last of which points to November 17, 2014.
That's the day before press days open in LA, and considering the propensity of global automakers to plan lavish debuts the night before a major international auto show, it's a virtual certainty that Ford will be showing off some sort of special vehicle.
That'd be news in and of itself, but based on the images shown in Ford's teaser video - which include an Alcantara steering wheel, a "Powered by Ford" valve cover, aluminum pedals, sticky tires, a big, round exhaust tip, a honeycomb grille and a serious set of wheels - it seems very likely that Ford will be showing something performance oriented.
Apollo Edition Mustang is a moonshot for charity
Wed, Jul 15 2015By putting a man on the moon, the Apollo Program stands as one of the greatest engineering achievements in human history. Ford is paying tribute to that massive triumph with the company's latest one-off Mustang for the charity auction at EAA AirVenure in Oshkosh, WI, on July 23. This Apollo Edition 'Stang is probably never leaving Earth's atmosphere, but it's going to shoot like a rocket down the road. The Apollo Edition starts as a 2015 Mustang GT, but project manager Melvin Betancourt from Ford Design comprehensively overhauls the pony car. The exterior is finished in a handsome mix of black and white, and the coupe also shows off some serious patriotism with the Stars and Stripes adorning the outside. In an especially clever touch, orange LEDs underneath are meant to make the bottom look like its heating up under re-entry. Inside, the leather upholstery gets upgraded with embroidery inspired by the Apollo Program. Whether trying to launch into space or go quicker through the quarter mile, weight is the enemy, and power is crucial. The Apollo Edition boasts carbon fiber parts for the rear diffuser, side sills, and some trim. The 5.0-liter V8 also gets a Ford Performance supercharger to take output to 627 horsepower and 540 pound-feet of torque. A set of six-piston Brembo calipers should help slow this rocket down, and 21-inch custom wheels add some style. "With this year's stunning Apollo Edition Mustang, we salute that spirit of American ingenuity with the quintessential American automobile – Ford Mustang." Edsel B. Ford II said in the special model's announcement. The coupe is the Blue Oval's eighth charity car to support the Experimental Aircraft Association. The seven before it have raised nearly $3 million for the group's work to get young people interested in flying.
