Very rare and unique Model T woody Depot Hack. Restored years ago but is still in great mechanical shape. Recent custom faux paint job by Johnny Vegas of Hi Speed Rod & Custom. New canvas roll-up side curtains. Very fun to drive and ready to enjoy.

Factory accessories offered in 1926 and 1927 included front and rear bumpers, wire wheels, nickel plated radiator shell and vacuum operated windshield wiper. At around $520, the two door coupe was the third most expensive T available, nearly twice what the Roadster cost.

Inside, the interior has been completely reupholstered with vinyl seats that look great and go with the exterior paint job very well. All of the wood paneling inside and out is in great condition. The wood floor has been covered with a rubber mat that is in good condition. There are two rows of seating as well as space behind the rear seat for storage.

Under the hood, the 4 cylinder runs great and is connected to the classic Model T transmission. There is a two speed Ruckstell rear end installed so this T is drivable up to around 45 mph.

The underside is very clean and tidy with no rot to be found. The engine is very clean and nicely detailed. VIN number is 13254629 and the car is being sold on a clean California title.

There has been recent mechanical items done as well with original style parts; new wiring through out, new carburetor, sediment bulb, radiator hoses, fan belt, fan pulley, key switch, spark plugs and wires.

This is a fun car, take it to car shows, parades, or museums. If you want attention this will get it. I bought this car a year ago and have enjoyed it. I have to tear down my garage due to termites and I have no where to store it for a couple of months while I do the project myself. The starting bid will be what I bought it for. Most likely I will be losing money with this.

Car being sold as is. Mileage says 3042 but of course this car is 87 years old, so it most likely has more.

Licence plates are registered with CA DMV and are current.

Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid recalled over lack of roof padding

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Ford is recalling 33,021 units of its 2013 C-Max Hybrid not equipped with optional panoramic roof panels. During testing, the model in question returned testing results for occupant head injuries that fell outside of criteria laid out in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. The issue puts occupants at greater risk of injury in the event of a crash if they are in an affected car.
The recall will begin August 19, at which time C-Max Hybrid owners can take their cars to dealers to have energy-absorbent material installed between the headliner and roof. The bulletin below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has more information.

Ford's BlueCruise gains hands-free lane changes and more in update

Fri, Sep 9 2022

Ford is sending out an update to BlueCruise that will enhance its functionality with some nice features we tend to enjoy on other advanced driver assistance systems. Plus, in addition to BlueCruise getting the update, the Lincoln version named ActiveGlide will get the same update. For starters, both BlueCruise and ActiveGlide will gain hands-free lane changing. Similar to other lane-change assist systems, you’ll prompt the lane change by activating the turn signal. ItÂ’ll scan for traffic, and if all is clear, the vehicle will move into the requested lane. Ford says that itÂ’ll even suggest lane changes to the driver in the cluster as you approach slower-moving traffic. What this new feature doesnÂ’t do, though, are automatic lane changes. Systems like Super Cruise and TeslaÂ’s Autopilot will recognize slower traffic, then make a pass all on their own to move around said traffic — theyÂ’ll even move back over into your previous lane after making the pass. We wouldnÂ’t be surprised if Ford adds this functionality to the system in a future update. Another update in this release is new “In-Lane Repositioning” programming. ItÂ’s designed to recognize when there are vehicles in adjacent lanes and will then shift you further away from them within your lane of travel. Ford says itÂ’s especially helpful when passing semi-trucks, and will give you the usual and more comfortable buffer that a human driver might give a truck. The final update is a Predictive Speed Assist feature that will adjust your speed as you approach a curve. It will signal to the driver in the cluster that the car will slow for a curve, then do so gradually as you approach it. This is the sort of feature we typically like to turn off as soon as possible, since weÂ’d rather just remain at the same speed for curves on the highway. But, if youÂ’re one of those folks who like to slow down for curves on the highway, this will provide a more natural driving feel. Ford says that customers have cumulatively put over 16 million hands-free miles on cars with BlueCruise at this point. This update, simply named 1.2, for BlueCruise and ActiveGlide will see its initial rollout this fall. It will hit the Mustang Mach-E first, and Ford says other vehicles will follow.
