This vehicle is titled year 1923 so it can be plated with a historical plate. The body of this t bucket is fiberglass. I'm not sure what size transmission, rearend, or gear ratio is in it. The engine is a 400 sbc from what the previous owner told me. I bought this car last summer and drove it around a few days before putting it up for winter. I don't really wanna get rid of it but due to financial issues I'm gonna have to let it go. I put a new Carter 750 carb on it because the Holley double pumper that came with it gave it too much gas. This car is quick and fun to drive. I don't believe the wheelie bar is functional but I personally haven't tested it out. The interior is very nice with no rips. The carpet is coming up in a couple spots but can easily be glued back down or tucked under the edges. The radio could use an upgrade or maybe just add an amplifier to it. It's not very loud so I never used it. The rearend has posi. It has drum brakes all the way around. The brake pedal needs a spring added to it cuz it doesn't come all the way back up and the brake light stays on sometimes. The engine starts right up every time and runs real smooth. It sounds great with the exhaust that's on it. I was going to lower the seat about 6 inches and maybe add the larger windshield. When sitting in it as is your head is above the windshield. It could use some modifications in my opinion or just drive it as is. I was planning on driving it in the summers and changing things in the winter but the money just isn't there at the moment. Please contact me if you have any questions and I'll answer the best I can. You can buy it now for $10,000 or bid and hope to get a lower price. Reserve is set lower than buy it now price. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Plethora of 2015 Ford F-150 customs runs the gamut at SEMA
Wed, 05 Nov 2014
Of Ford's customized trucks, two feature the name of famous Ford racers.
Of all the OEMs making appearances at the 2014 SEMA show, Ford owns arguably the most significant group of vehicles, thanks to its new 2015 F-150 and Mustang. While you can look for our Mustang coverage soon, we've managed to sneak out and get snaps of some of a few of the F-150s on display at the company's sprawling, 20,000-square-foot display (look for even more aftermarket F-150 goodness in the coming days).
2020 Toyota Highlander vs other 3-row crossovers: There can only be one!
Fri, Dec 20 2019We've done quite a few spec comparison posts involving three-row family crossovers, and when included, the Toyota Highlander has always been the runt of the group. While the rest increasingly seemed to be benchmarking each other toward greater girth, the Highlander was the outlier. That changes a bit for the 2020 Toyota Highlander, but only a bit. It's now larger and more competitive, specifically in regards to the amount of cargo space aft of the third-row seat. As you can see below, this aligns the Highlander most closely to its long-time competitor the 2020 Honda Pilot. However, let's see how it stacks up to others in the segment, which is heavily populated now, so for the sake of space, we've selected the newest entries: Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent and Ford Explorer. The order in which they are presented is random. Performance and fuel economy The 2020 Highlander is more than 200 pounds lighter than its predecessor, but has the same 295-horsepower V6 engine that was already one of the strongest in the segment. We'd say that would give it a leg up, but the Pilot and Explorer have proven to be sprinters, delivering 0-60 times in the low-6 range by some publications' stopwatches (or VBoxes, whatever). We don't expect the Highlander to beat them, but it may dip into the 6's. The heavy, less-powerful Subaru Ascent is most likely to take up the rear. It's fuel economy of 23 mpg combined also matches the Highlander and Explorer for segment-best. Remember, however, that the Explorer's turbocharged inline-four engine is likely more susceptible to differences in driving style (read: a heavy foot). Of course, if you're really interested in fuel economy, the Highlander and Explorer are the only vehicles in the segment to offer hybrid versions. The Ford Explorer Hybrid puts a greater emphasis on performance, however, resulting in lower estimates of 25 mpg combined (AWD) and 28 mpg combined (FWD). By contrast, the new 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is estimated to return 36 mpg combined. Passenger and cargo space According to Highlander chief engineer Yoshikazu Saeki, he had a choice of two directions with the new Highlander. He could have indeed made it bigger, matching these very competitors, especially in terms of third-row and cargo space. Or, he could have maintained a smaller-than-average size. He obviously chose the latter. First, it was the size customers had come to expect. Would they be put off by something bigger?
NHTSA closes Ford F-Series Super Duty steering probe without recall
Wed, 05 Feb 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation into 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups, which was originally opened last year, has now ended without a recall. NHTSA was looking into steering failures on some 336,000 trucks.
The issue rested with the steering gear - NHTSA received five complaints of failures - which was redesigned in 2005. According to the report on the matter, investigators "found evidence of broken sector shaft gear teeth and piston damage consistent with incidents of single event overload."
NHTSA investigators, however, "found no evidence of fatigue or material property defects in any of the fractures. Analysis of complaint rates by vehicle build month showed no patterns indicating potential manufacturing quality issues and no difference before and after Ford introduced design changes to the input shaft and sector shaft seals in July 2007 to address potential leak concerns," according to the report, obtained by The Detroit News.
