I HAVE KNOWN THIS CLASSIC FOR MANY YEARS AND OUR DEALERSHIP SOLD IT TO THE CURRENT OWNER.  HE IS NOW IN HIS 90'S AND WOULD LIKE TO PASS IT ON TO SOMEONE ELSE.  THE MOTOR AND DRIVETRAIN WERE REDONE AND RUN OUT VERY NICELY.   THE RESTORATION IS APPROX. TENS YEARS OLD WITH FRESH PAINT TWO YEARS AGO. THE CAR IS ALL STEEL FENDERS AND BODY AND ARE LAZER STRAIGHT.  THE CAR IS DRIVEN REGULARY AND NEEDS NOTHING TO ENJOY.  THE TOP WAS REPALCED  A FEW YEARS AGO AND THE PAINT IS ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD AND IS BASE COAT CLEAR COAT DUPONT PAINT.  THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST ONES THAT I HAVE SEEN IN THE COUNTRY.  THERE HAS  NOT HAD A  BUTCHER ON THIS RESTORATION.   THE METAL WORK IS THE BEST ANS IS LIKE NEW.  THE RUMBLE SEAT IS SUPER NICE AND OPENS NICELY TOO.  THE INTERIOR IS VERY NICE AND NICE TO SIT ON.  I HAVE SEEN HUNDREDS OF THESE CARS AND KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR!!  THE TIRES ARE DRIVER QUALITY  WITH A MARK HERE OR THERE BUT HARDLY NOTICEABLE.  THE GENERATOR WAS REBUILT THIS PASS YEAR.  THE CAR IS WORTH THE INVESTMENT AND WILL BE NICE FOR YEARS TO COME.  MY SUGGESTION IS TO ENJOY ONE THAT IS NOT NEEDING WORK!!  IT WOULD COST HUGE MONEY TO RESTORE ONE LIKE THIS AND RESERVE IS VERY  FAIR.

PLEASE CALL ME TO NEGOTIATE A BUY IT NOW TO END AUCTION THROUGH EBAY!!  TITUS 863-661-0292

Ford, Renault have surprises in store for Le Mans

Tue, Jun 9 2015

All those prototype and GT racers won't be the only attraction catching our eye at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. Two major automakers have also confirmed that they've got new metal to unveil. And while they're not saying exactly what they'll be, we've got some pretty good ideas. First up is Ford, which has announced a "major Ford Performance news announcement" on Friday. Chairman Bill Ford, CEO Mark Fields, and product development chief Raj Nair will be on hand for the announcement set to take place on Friday at 10:00 AM Eastern. The Blue Oval isn't saying just what it has in store, but the widespread speculation has been that it will present a racing version of the new Ford GT at Le Mans a good half century since the original GT40 raced there. Meanwhile, Renault has announced that it is marking the 60th anniversary of the Alpine marque at Le Mans this Saturday. The French automaker has been working on reviving the dormant marque, and looks poised to finally reveal its new sports car at its iconic home endurance race this weekend. Tipped to be called the Alpine AS1, the new sports car will bring the marque back out of retirement in a more real way than the ELMS-winning LMP2 prototype ever could. Expect it to be based on the mid-engined chassis underpinning the Renault RS 01 spec racer, but built for the road. 1969 Ford Talladega GPT Special is a SEMA showstopper

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Rad Rides by Troy has unleashed upon the SEMA crowds this custom 1969 Ford Torino Talladega GT Special, and it's a beauty. The car calls to mind the classic Holman Moody stock cars that circled NASCAR tracks in the late 1960's, driven by the likes of Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney and David Pearson, who won the Grand National title in both 1968 and '69 in a Ford Torino.
Even though it has plenty of stock-car influence, there's nothing retro about the car's design or powertrain, other than the fact that the engine is based on a Ford Boss 429 block. Fuel injection, aftermarket aluminum heads and a high-tech custom computer system combine to send 750 reliable ponies to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Brakes measure 14-inches all around, with six-piston Wilwood calipers up front and four-piston units out back.
There's custom bodywork abound, painted in a two-tone Tennessee Whiskey Gold and Daytona Sand finish. Check out all the amazing details in the image gallery below, and scroll down to read all about it in designer Troy Trepanier's own words.
