1929 Ford Model A Coupe, Built by Misfitskinnykustoms. This intire car with exception of the coupe body has been hand made and is 1 off. Car has been chopped, channeled, z framed w/ suicide front end, dash grill bezel, interior, floors, top, suspension, linkage etc... Sits on an air ride suspension in the rear and sits on the ground { SLAMMED} The seats are 1 off hand tooled leather. The motor is chevy v 8 305 and came out an 87 Camaro. Has chevy turbo transmission w/ a ford rear end. Brand new model A radiator set up with a chevy configuration. Car started off as a chevy and was going to be a 64 truck body, got an opportunity to get a ford coupe body and then went from there and this is how it ended up. So the car still has the chevy title. Car runs and drives good but was built as a show car mainly. Car has been built very solid in Rat rod style, I woud say, but some may disagree. chopped 3 1/2 in top channeled 3 1/2 in floor to lay frame. custom suiced front end and has a z'd frame in the rear for the air bags. Watch a drone try to land in back of a moving 2015 Ford F-150 at night
Fri, Apr 3 2015Automotive stunts don't always have to make sense; they just have to look cool. Does it really prove anything about the bed lighting in the 2015 Ford F-150 to attempt to land a drone back there while driving at night? Probably not, but Ford Canada wants to find out anyway, because the trick looks good on film. Chris Bacik is an expert at flying drones and even builds his own to use for his aerial cinematography company. As Ford Canada's very serious narrator intones, the question now is whether he can use those piloting skills to land on a moving F-150 in the dark. To make things even harder, the night of the stunt is quite windy. Even if the video demonstrates little about the truck's capabilities, it's fun to see if Bacik can do accomplish the feat. Here's what it's like to drive the very first Ford Mustang cop car
Thu, Jan 29 2015As we recently discovered, there's something different about driving a police car. That's true whether you're talking about a modern Dodge Charger Pursuit or, yes, the legendary Ford Mustang SSP. Former Autoblog staffer and current Road and Track web editor Zach Bowman discovered this when he shanghaied a 2015 Mustang GT and made the trip to Nashville, TN to drive the very first Mustang SSP police car. The two-tone, V8-powered prototype was delivered into the welcoming arms of the California Highway Patrol back in 1981 for evaluation. Bowman chatted up cop-car aficionado Mike Strinich, the prototype's current owner, and managed to score some seat time in the car, which provided a unique interesting contrast to the SSP's 435-horsepower junior. Head over to R&T for the complete read.
2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid
Thu, 02 May 2013No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.
