1928 Model A Street Rod

This car was Built 35 Years ago and still looks Amazing!... yes 35 years ago and you wouldn't know it if I didn't tell you, it was certainly well taken care of, the only thing that has changed on this car is the New
Torque Thrust polished alum wheels and new tires that were just installed 2 weeks ago, the past owner has kept this car polished and clean on a daily basis for the past 35 years and it shows! there are just a couple of spots on the paint that is pictured in the photos, one is on the hood one on pass door and one on the driver side, you have to really look to see them, so I want to point them out to you, the paint shines amazingly as you can see from all the reflections in the photos

the body is all steel and original and the top has been chopped, the fenders are glass, and as stated above the paint is amazingly nice for being 35 years old

the interior is all diamond tuck and roll with a custom wood dash and the piece of wood used for the dash was 150 years old when installed and was handed down from generation to generation until the proper use for the wood was found and I think that is just too cool that it was worthy for this car!

the drivetrain is a 355 Chevy with 400 hp and a th350 auto trans and ford 9" rear end with limited slip, this car is fast and fun! it features front disc brakes with rear drum

the former owner drove this car every summer and put an average of 1000 miles a year on it so it has approx. 35,000 miles since it was built and it runs and drives beautifully

we have a very low reserve on this car I have seen rat rods go higher than our reserve!

Peel and Ford Transit do a great Austin Powers impression

Tue, May 6 2014

It's no secret that the average fullsize cargo van is big. Like, really big. Expressing that size, though, without actually seeing the van in question, is a pretty tall order. When viewed from the right angle, even something as big as a cargo van can appear very small (look up forced perspective, to see what we mean). That's why it's always good to have a second object on hand, to provide a sense of scale. Ford took this simple idea to the extreme, illustrating the size of the new Ford Transit by pulling the world's smallest production car, the Peel P50, nose first into the van's 487-cubic-foot cargo area. That's no big deal, though, right? After all, at just 54 inches long and 39 inches wide, the Peel would fit quite happily in even the smallest fullsize truck bed. Ford takes it a step further, though. With the help of an actual reverse gear (we're guessing this is a CVT-equipped, electric model), the P50 manages to turn itself around and drive out. It does this in less than two minutes. So yeah, the Ford Transit is a pretty big van. Take a look below for the video from Ford. This content is hosted by a third party. Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.

Ford F-150, Mustang, Explorer, Bronco and Lincoln Aviator recalled for rollaway fears

Wed, Feb 22 2023

Ford is recalling certain F-150, Mustang, Explorer, Bronco, and Lincoln Aviator models from the 2022 and 2023 model years equipped with automatic transmissions. According to documents posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford's 10R80 transmission may contain a loose bolt — literally an extra bolt loose inside the transmission, not a bolt that isn't tightened — that could prevent the transmission from engaging in Park. This could happen even if the gear shifter position indicates that the vehicle has been shifted to "Park." As Ford's recall acknowledgement says, "The inability to secure the vehicle in the park position can result in a rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash or injury." Dealers will replace the transmissions of vehicles affected by this defect. Note a similar-sounding recall was announced in 2022, but it was for entirely different models with entirely different transmissions. A relatively small number of units — 944 to be exact, or 4% of production — are thought to be affected by this issue, but they weren't built in successive order, meaning their VINs need to be verified by Ford. Customers are advised to contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference Ford's internal recall number 23S06. Because some vehicles affected by this recall could be on dealer lots, Ford sent a note to its network of dealerships advising them not to sell or demonstrate the models included in this recall, potentially until the second quarter of 2023 when Ford expects "that parts ordering information and repair instructions will be available to support this safety recall."
