1932 Ford Fordor Sedan (4 door) Model A - RARE! Only 30,455 four door Model A Sedans were made in the USA in 1932. //// This Ford has a MOPAR drive train. Dodge 340 re-built V8 with re-built Dodge automatic transmission. Chrysler 9" rear end. Over $30,000 invested. I have owned this car for 10 years (garage kept) and all upgrades were complete in 2009. Driven once a month for the last 5 years.

POSITIVE ASPECTS: Original steel body with no dents. Very minor rust around front windshield and top of hood edge - no filler - no bondo anywhere! LOWERED. Garage kept. Original bumpers, headlights, dash, headliner, back seat, glass, radiator, and grill. The undercarriage is clean and painted with no rust. The top is permanent rhino lining. New Wilwood disc brakes front and back. Rack & Pinion steering. New tires. Suicide doors. New Optima battery. Dual Flowmaster exhaust with bell exhaust tips. OOGA horn. Custom pin striping front and back. Custom train etching on both back windows. The entire frame has been welded correctly to support the V8 motor. New front end and new suspension in the front. Kill switch. Easily cruises at 75mph on the highway and never overheats. Also included: Another rear end (S-10) that comes with the car geared for more torque. /////  This car is so much fun and extremely reliable. It is definitely a driver....cranks right up and never breaks down. /////

NEGATIVE ASPECTS: Older paint job. Fiberglass fenders. Some paint chipping and cracking where the fenders meet the body and where the gas tank meets the body. Interior needs finishing. Leaks a tiny bit of oil (approx. 1 drop every two days). Drivers side window is cracked.

Ford looks back on 50 years of the Mustang in Detroit

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Ford has something special sitting in its booth here at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. In fact, it brought two special somethings in the form of the Ford Mustang 1 Concept that first saw the light of day in 1962 and the very first production Mustang that rolled off the production line in 1964.
These classic creations are sharing floor space with the brand-new 2014 Mustang in honor of the pony car's 50th Anniversary. Since Ford's latest 'Stang already made its auto show debut (at a number of locations, including Los Angeles), we think it's pretty cool that the Blue Oval did something special for its home-town show.
Check out both the Mustang 1 Concept and first production 1964.5 Mustang above and below.

Merecedes-Benz EQS, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and Subaru Forester Wilderness | Autoblog Podcast #702

Fri, Oct 29 2021

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. They've been driving some exciting new EVs, like the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and the Mercedes-Benz EQS. They also discuss driving the new Subaru Forester Wilderness, as well as the perfectly agreeable Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid. James compares four big-name off-roaders — the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner and Land Rover Defender — based on their ability to accommodate a big load of luggage. Next they reach into the mailbag for comments on the Genesis GV70, as well as a Spend My Money question about replacing a wrecked Subaru Ascent with another three-row SUV. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Hertz goes Dutch with Ford Focus ST-H

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Want to take a performance car for a ride? Hertz can make that happen. Spin by your local rental location (depending, of course, on availability) and you can take out a Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, even a Corvette as part of the Adrenaline Collection. Hertz's Dream Cars lineup even includes Porsches and AMGs. But the really interesting stuff is what you can't get anywhere else: cars built specifically for Hertz.
Back in 1966, Hertz had Ford cook up a special run of Mustang GT350H models in back with gold stripes. It became an icon in and of itself, and in 2008 Hertz had a new batch of Shelby GT-Hs made. Earlier this year, Hertz contracted Penske to deliver another fleet of specially-built Mustangs you can rent. But if your travel plans include a trip to the Netherlands, Hertz has a completely different type of specially-prepared Ford on offer for you.
Back in August, Ford delivered a couple of Focus STs made specifically for Hertz in Holland. Now it's expanded that fleet even further. The Ford Focus ST-H features the same 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four (and everything else) as the standard Focus ST, but gets that signature black exterior with gold stripes and a black leather interior with Recaro buckets. So in case a trip to Amsterdam doesn't hold enough thrills, now you can throw a hot hatch into the mix as well. Scope out the press release (in Dutch - isn't that weird?) below.
