Up for auction is a nice 1931 Ford Model A Tudor. I am listing this for a customer. This has a Fuel Injected Ford 302 with the automatic trans and overdrive so it is something you can just get in and go. Plus with the 4 seats you can take your family with you to shows, cruises, or just to get the groceries. This is a nice driver with tons of aftermarket parts. The car was built roughly 6 years ago and it has only had 5000 miles put on it since finished. Car is fun and smooth to drive for it being an old car. I liked the car a lot since it wasn't chopped and it is all steel.

Here is a list of some of the parts that are on the car.

Chassis / Suspension:

The frame is a made by TCI with 4 link rear suspension and adjustable coilovers. The front also has the 4 bar setup with a Super Bell 4'' Drop axle with a disc brake conversion and braided brake hoses. The rear axle is a Ford 9'' with the drum brakes. The car does have power brakes and rack and pinion steering which makes it nice to drive. Both front and rear suspensions have a hardpan bar to hold everything in place aswell. Fuel pump on passenger inner frame rail. Battery box is under the passenger floor area with a NEW battery.

Motor / Transmission:

The motor is a 1987 Ford Fuel Injected 302. The trans is automatic with overdrive. The engine is pretty much stock other then some minor bolt ons. Chrome 1 wire altinator, Belden 8mm plug wires, billet valve covers, polished intake and air cleaner. As for the exhaust it has the block style hugger headers to dual exhaust, new mufflers then exits out the rear of the car with silverline chrome tips. The car sounds nice but it is pretty quite for all around driving. Also under the hood is a 3 core aluminum radiator with a electric puller fan. This car can run all day and it will stay at 190 degrees.

Interior:

The interior was just redone this fall. The front bucket seats are very comfortable for nice road trips. The column is early 90's GM with tilt. The gauges are all white faced and made by Dolphin. There is a JVC CD built into the roof of the car as well as Jensen 6'' speakers front and rear. The passenger seat slides forward and folds to make it easy for another couple or kids to access. The front windshield can be opened for a nice breeze. The door glass and the rear side glass also rolls down. Some of the other little features are the Lokar gas pedal, tall shifter, main power kill switch under the seat, and billet steering wheel.

Exterior:

The exterior of the car is in real nice shape since it was originally from the southern US. The body is in nice shape with no rust. The running boards and fenders are original and steel. The paint job is a 6 out of 10 due to the fact that it has some orange peel to it, minor stone chips, and some sand marks here and there. The car is a really nice driver. The paint is called Raspberry Burgandy. The color is a little on the pink side but still looks nice in the sun. The tail lights are LED and the headlights are bright. The rims are American Racing. Front tires are 205/65R15 with 90% tread, rears are 265/75R15 with 90% tread. Some other features are the roof has been filled and they did a nice job with a few ribs in it. Chrome rock gaurd on the grill, real authentic Ford radiatior cap. Original visor, chrome mirrors, chrome turn signals, chrome step plates, chrome tail light brackets, hidden gas cap on drivers rear corner, chrome hood hinges, and stainless bolts throughout.

Like I said this has been a good car but I just don't have the time to enjoy it anymore. I would rather see someone else enjoy it then it sit in the garage.

I will help as much as I can with shipping but the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and getting a shipper.

I live roughly 45 west of Detroit Metro Airport. If you wanted to fly in and drive it home then I can pick you up from the airport.

I also have the car for sale locally.

There is a $1000 deposit due with paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending.

If you have any questions feel free to call Bill at 1-734-475-9774.

Thanks for looking.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost has fake engine soundtrack

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a huge change for the Blue Oval as the first pony car in decades to be available with a four-cylinder engine. But a recent tweet (below) from Road & Track raised our curiosity about the new vehicle. Editor Jason Cammisa pulled a fuse while driving the latest 'Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and he found that both the stereo and engine went quiet in the cabin. That indicated the coupe might have some form of artificial engine sound being piped in - a feature not previously heavily reported for the model. Autoblog spoke with Ford engineer Shawn Carney who confirmed that only the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang comes with this system, called Active Noise Control.

This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
