1930 ford model A 392 Hemi When this car was built we wanted to build a truly nostalgic dragster hot rod, it took a lot of time to find the rite engine for the build. My buddy’s over at Power Plus hot rods located a 1957 392 Hemi this happens to be the last year of the first generation 392 Hemi. If you have ever searched for one of these engines you will know that it cost about $10,000 to get one completely rebuilt. Once the engine was located the fun began. The body is a 1930 Ford Model A sedan that has been channeled 5 inches and chopped only 2inches and the seats are custom built and are large to fit a bigger guy the steering wheel is removable as well. The gages are black to match the black venal top and we have installed blinkers down by the shifter. This car has front and rear suspension giving it a smooth ride with 40s drums brakes in the front and is equipped with a electric fan and has a toque converter. Just last month we took the car down to little river drag strip for the annual day of the drags car show, the over a performance on the drag strip was fantastic and best time on the quarter mile was at 12.56sec at a 106mph check out the video. We have taking the time to repaint the out side of the to remove the shop decals and prepare the car for the new owner. Please contact me with any question also I am not interested in any trades at this time. Deposit of $1000 must be received within 24hours of purchase and the balance will need to be paid in cash of certified funds at time of pickup. Shipping will be buyer’s responsibility and I can help with shipping arrangements Thanks for stopping by Colt Verret C.C.C 512-825-5778

Ford wants to double hybrid offerings by 2020
Wed, Jan 15 2014The Blue Oval is looking for folks on the other side of this Big Old Sphere to get on board with its hybrid offerings. Ford executive Raj Nair, speaking at the Detroit Auto Show this week, said the US automaker wants to double the number of hybrids models it offers by the end of the decade, Reuters reports. Details of what that actually means is anyone's guess, as it was unclear how many of those models would be in the US and how many would be overseas. That said, Nair did say that prospective customers in regions such as China and Europe would drive the expansion of offerings. Ford got off to a great start in the US last year on its hybrid sales, but then tailed off towards the end of 2013. Ford more than doubled its green-car sales in 2013 to almost 88,000 units. In that number were more than 37,000 Fusion Hybrids and more than 28,000 C-Max Hybrids sold domestically. The company also sold almost 7,500 Lincoln MKZ Hybrids. Ford's green-car totals for 2013 were up fivefold at the mid-year point, hinting that Ford's hybrid sales plateaued, at least temporarily, in recent months.
Ford announces fix for 2021 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator fires
Sat, Jul 9 2022In the middle of May, Ford announced a recall of around 39,000 Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators from the 2021 model year due to fires starting under the hoods of the SUVs. At the time, Ford had received 16 incident reports, 14 of them happening with rental vehicles. The automaker cautioned owners to park their vehicles outside and away from structures while engineers figured out what was happening and how to fix the problem. Since that May announcement, five more fires have been reported, four of them rental vehicles, and there's been one burn injury. The company announced it understands the problem and has a fix, at the same time widening the scope of potentially affected vehicles. Instead of recalling 39,013 units built between December 1, 2020, and April 30, 2021, the recall now includes 66,221 vehicles assembled from July 27, 2020, to Aug. 31, 2021. The suspected culprit is a circuit board provided by a supplier that changed manufacturing location during the pandemic. Ford's press release on the matter stated that "circuit boards produced at this facility are uniquely susceptible to a high-current short." The affected vehicles are fitted with either an 800-watt or 700-watt cooling fan system. About a third of the recalled population are fitted with the former, and should get a quick fix at the dealer. On these SUVs, techs will inspect the battery junction box. If they find evidence of melting, they'll replace the whole box. If not, they'll simply remove the engine fan ground wire that runs to the battery junction box; since this ground relay is redundant, the change doesn't alter operation of the fans. Owners with the 700-watt system might need to wait until September for a fix. These vehicles need an auxiliary relay box with a wire jumper, but the parts aren't available now.  Ford's notifying all owners via the FordPass app, and will follow up with owners of the 700-watt cooling system once the parts are in stock. Until their vehicles are fixed, Ford says the SUVs are safe to drive but that they should still be parked outside and away from structures. The somewhat mixed messaging — 'Yes, your cars are safe to drive, but they could catch fire so don't park them near anything flammable' — encouraged a group of owners to file suit against Ford. Owners with questions can contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332 and reference recall No. 22S36.
