1930 Ford Model A - 2 Dr. Coupe W' Rumble Seat - Low Reserve on 2040-cars
Delphi, Indiana, United States
1930 FORD MODEL A For Sale is my friend's 1930 Ford Model A, 2 Dr. 5 Window Coupe with the Rumble Seat. Bob, the owner, is getting up in age and the car is just a little too much for him to drive anymore. As second owner, Bob has maintained and cherished this car since he has owned it. The car went through a complete nut and bolt restoration 2002. The engine, transmission and rear end was completely taken apart and rebuilt to factory specs. The exterior was painted it's original Andalusite Blue with Black fenders and trim. The car only has a few thousand miles on it since the restoration. Every original body panel was removed and painted separately. There was no rust or bondo repairs made to the car. It is a very solid, rust free vehicle. The paint finish is very nice. No major chips, dings or dents anywhere on this car. The undercarriage was also detailed and looks as good as the exterior. The frame was completely media blasted and painted. Mechanically, everything works except for the wiper motor. The brakes are fairly new and work very well. The engine fires right up and idles nicely. The transmission shifts like new. The tires are at 80% wear except for one tire which is about 30% wear remaining. The interior is like new. It was finished with LeBaron Bonney fabric that looks authentic and new. No rips or tears or even wear marks. The headliner and door panels are also like new. I'm starting the bidding at $10K but I have a very low reserve on the car. It's worth much more than that but the owner says it's time to sell it. If you have questions, please call me at 574-965-4550 or email me at: kenprieboy@comcast.net. Thanks for looking and bidding!.......Ken

Ford Explorer is America's new favorite police car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014There is a new vehicle that you should keep an eye out for when you're going a little too fast down the Interstate. Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility was the bestselling new law enforcement model in the country last year, and signs show that won't be changing anytime soon.
Ford sold 14,086 Interceptor Utilities in 2013, up 140% from the year before, and 10,897 Interceptor Sedans, up 31%, according to USA Today. Overall, the brand's police sales were up 48 percent, and they were enough to boost the company's law enforcement vehicle market share by 9 points to nearly 50 percent.
The success comes just a few years after it made the decision to finally retire the long-serving Crown Victoria-based cruiser for two more modern vehicles. "We had to reinvent the category," said Chris Terry of Ford Communications to Autoblog. The automaker had to convince police departments that a unibody chassis without a V8 could perform better than a model that had been a law enforcement staple for years.
Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.
Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena
Fri, Dec 5 2014Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
