we are putting the 67 ford galaxie 500 up for auction to raise funds so our cross country runner can fund raise for a training camp this coming summer. thanks for checking our auction out. " either way I am paying for the trip..lol..lol". how times change, when I told my father I wanted to learn golf, he handed me a swing weed hand cye and told me to practice my drive and back swing..lol..lol attention over seas bidders............................................................. we have had no problem shipping our vehicals over seas, you must make arrangements on your side or before bidding or the end of the auction. other wise car will be picked up by your agent. auction will be paided first and you can work out the shipping details. there is a local driver here that transport takes cars to Chicago area for the docks. Winner get a State of Nebraska bonded title issued in buyer name, and is used by U.S. Customs. we have had no trouble in the past. and we also are knowed in our town for our old cars, you can contact the local chief of police or sheriff or county judge, that knows us and the cars we own.. "the city has been wanting to crush them for years" says they are a eye sore, I think they are stupid. we are honest and have been trust worthy. just want to sell our collection. no one should bid if you cant pay please. the galaxie was brought to my fathers garage in north platte ne back in the early 70's the motor and trans is in the car, the rear trans mounts are gone. will post about the drive line. the guy never came back to have us do anything to it. I think the kid was drag racing and needed u joints. I was told the mileage is original, the car was a local driver, cant have been turned over yet. wasn't on the road that long..lol but don't know. but would be a dream to pull the eng, trans, rear end, and have gone through. not the pain modern cars are ..lol. I feel theres $2500.oo and more in standing parts assembled and matching numbers from the factory, that's why I don't just drop another motor or trans ect. in it. it has the factory fan belt on it still..lol but the car is worth more then that. this car has never been restored or bondo or supped up. this is a perfect family project car. the right side has the most dings and dents, in side under back seat is good. the car has not been started since the 70s and dont know what wrong in side, more important is all the numbers match and would be a great car to take to contest when your done restoring. one of T. V. 's car shows restored a galaxie last season. best of all it will become a family airloom that will be passed to others. even now I remember being there when the galaxie was pulled into the shop and father working on my brothers corvette..lol. any way lol.. this car would pull easy on a car dolly to your home town. bring 2 good tires and we will mount them for you to pull home. we will have something good to hold air and a spaire to get on a trailer. In past we have worked out meeting the buyer half way and swapping u-haul car dolly and you pull it home. you set up a u-haul on our side and you pay cost in gas getting it to you. if you need to have us hold your car for 10 days or 3 weeks we can work it out. we are located 4 hr west of Omaha and 4 hr east of Denver on I-80. there also a local auto trans porter that drives to Chicago to the docks for europ. we have other project cars we are going to be putting on ebay. we have 37 lasalle coup and a 4 dr,. MyFord Touch getting second update, extended warranty
Wed, 28 Nov 2012There is no doubt that Ford has had its hands full fielding complaints with its MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch systems these days, but looking to keep its customers happy, Ford is once again upgrading its infotainment systems and extending the warranties. Despite having just sent out updates for its systems back in March, Automotive News says that customers are still complaining about the speed and ease of use.
Vehicles with MyFord Touch will now get a five-year, unlimited-mile warranty, while the MyLincoln Touch will have a six-year, unlimited-mile warranty. Previously, the systems were covered under basic warranties (three-year, 36,000-mile for Ford and four-year, 60,000-miles for Lincoln).
What is being referred to as "version 3.5" for the MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch systems will be mailed out (or downloaded) next month for owners of cars without navigation and in January for cars with nav. Owners of hybrids, plug-ins and electric vehicles will get the update sometime in the first quarter of next year.
Techstars Mobility brings transportation startups to Detroit
Thu, Jun 4 2015A new tech incubator is looking to combine the Motor City's automotive history with its evolving tech startup landscape. "Techstars Mobility, Driven by Detroit" kicks off its first round with 10 startups next week. Techstars is an established accelerator network with incubators around the world, and Detroit is a new addition. The projects center around mobility in some form, be it improving vehicles, moving goods, or working cars into the sharing economy in new ways. In return for a percentage stake in each company, Techstars provides mentorship, access to experts, seed money, and a collaborative environment. One startup we're particularly excited about is Motoroso. This site is like Pinterest for the car-obsessed, with boards replaced by garages that can contain photos and links to other projects. The site lets you follow brands – Chevy, Porsche, Ducati, and others already have profiles – as well as other users. For the Autoblog editors, Motoroso provides a new way to share stories, photos, and video, as well as a way to discover new products and interesting DIY projects. Take a look at the Autoblog profile and wander around the site to check things out. Another one of the startups, Classics & Exotics, is helping owners of interesting cars and would-be drivers connect in an Airbnb-style distributed rental program. Think of it as an auction catalog you can drive. Renters can specify the price, mileage, minimum driver age, and availability. Similar to Airbnb, Classics & Exotics provides each vehicle owner with $1 million in liability and damage protection. The company also vets renters for added peace of mind. Sounds like fun, and a cheap way to avoid a costly Craigslist or eBay mistake. Along similar shared-economy lines comes SPLT, a ride-sharing platform that finds people going where you're going and lets you hop in a car and split the costs. It's aimed at commuters but also has great applications for those looking for occasional one-way rides somewhere. SPLT notes that the system is a good way to meet new people – hopefully, good new people. Depending on how well SPLT keeps sketchy rides and riders out of the system, this could be a solid alternative to services like Uber and Lyft. This Techstars Mobility class has backing from corporate sponsors, including Ford, Honda, Magna, Dana, Verizon Telematics (Verizon has an offer pending to buy AOL, our parent company), and McDonald's.
