Up for auction is a 1966 Galaxie 500 Convertible. It retains its original 289 2V engine and automatic transmission. Options include power steering, manual brakes, and a power top. The car will need a full restoration. It will start with the keys while being fed from a small gas tank under the car. The cars gas tank is not hooked up and I would want to run a bunch of junk through the carb anyway. The electrical system on the Galaxie seems to be in good shape. The headlights come on and off with the switch and change with dim/bright switch, turn signals both front and rear work, flashers, and best of all the power top goes up and down great. The windows roll up and down good, doors open, shut, lock, etc. as they should. The interior of the car is in pretty fair shape for being original. The piping on the driver side of the front bench seat has a small piece missing and there is a tear when you pull the driver side of the bench forward that can only see when it is forward. The carpet is in usable shape. The dash has a few cracks in it but overall very usable. The windshield will need replaced along with the top material. I have several misc. pieces and parts to throw in with the car. including a complete taillight for the drivers side and several trim pieces. Also included is new top material in white, a water pump which will need replacing, and the original carb. As far as the body is concerned, the floors have had a patch on the passenger side, the frame is very solid, front fenders doors, hood, and trunk lid are in restorable condition. It will need a driver side rear quarter and trunk pan. The main part of the trunk is in great shape but the drivers side was messed up when the car was backed into something. The car will come with 4 14" steel wheels and tires that will work for transport. The car is not drivable at this time. It will need trailered to its new home. I can work out delivery for a fee within a couple hundred miles. Please call or email with any questions 765-376-3486 Thanks and Happy bidding!!!

Ford unveils all-new 2016 F-650 and F-750 at NTEA

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

Medium-duty work trucks might not be the most exciting vehicles, but they perform necessary jobs everyday. Ford is in the process of a complete refresh of its entire commercial vehicle lineup over the next 18 months, and it is debuting the all-new versions of its F-650 and F-750 trucks at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN.
"The all-new F-650/F-750 allow us to leverage our strengths and sales leadership in Classes 1 to 5 to create a better F-650/F-750 that's designed, engineered and built by Ford in the USA," said Ford spokesperson Mike Levine to Autoblog via email.
Huge amounts of torque is vital for trucks like these, and both models are offered with some of Fords biggest engines. Buyers can opt for either the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel with TorqShift 6-speed automatic with available power takeoff or a gasoline-fueled 6.8-liter V10 with a 6-speed automatic. The V10 can also be ordered from the factory to be fueled by compressed natural gas or liquid propane gas.

Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.

Ford Mustang challenges Lamborghini in amazing drift battle

Fri, Dec 18 2015

Engines scream and tires billow with smoke as Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Daigo Saito stage a drift battle through an abandoned Japanese resort that looks like a Russian village in this stunning clip. The high-performance ballet of these amazing machines sliding around makes this one of the best videos of the year. To fight this duel, Gittin straps into his 550-horsepower Ford Mustang, and Saito meets the pony car's challenge with a drift-prepped Lamborghini Murcielago. The drivers hit a curving road and show expert car control as the men slide these very different vehicles just inches from each other. Eventually, night descends, and they add some fire to the scene to give the stunts a more apocalyptic look. The production values for this short clip are phenomenal, and the editing makes the viewer feel right in the middle of the action. If you want to get behind the scenes of this impressive display of drifting, Speedhunters did a great job capturing the event in photos. Related Video:
