Hi, I'm selling my "turn key"1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner (convertible). The car was fully restored a few years back
it has about 61,xxx miles on it and believed to be original, as I am the second owner of the car and prior to that,
the car was restored, pampered and parked at a climate controlled private garage.
It features a rare color combo Corinthian White exterior and factory 2 tone, white on red interior. Under the hood
is the famous 292 “Y” block Ford Thunderbird Special engine with an auto trans which was rebuild at the time of
the restoration and has about 4k miles on it. It also has power steering, aluminum 3 core radiator, new fuel tank,
new fuel and break lines, new front end, new shocks front / back(air shocks in the back), new front to back dual
factory specs exhaust, new holley carb with electric choke ect..(basically everything was redone at the time of the
restoration)
Floors, trunk pan and quarters are solid, and in good condition. Interior is mint with no rips tears or cuts. New
powered convertible top with zip down back window. All glass and stainless is in excellent condition. Paint is just
as good as show quality with few things here and there from normal wear.
All fully working gauges, working original radio, original clock, lights, wipers, original heater, etc...
(everything works) After market Pioneer radio with remote control was installed and hidden in the glove box with
USB connection for iPod and Bluetooth compatibility for any smart phone. New Undercover II Speakers were installed
under the front seat, and the tweeters were upgraded to O Zone tweeters. To get max performance out of it all an
amp was added under the back seat. All panels remain uncut for the install of the aftermarket radio and speakers.
If you wish to remove it, it can be done in less than 10 min.
I'm sure i'm forgetting a ton of things but at the end of the day the car runs and drives flawlessly. Always turns
heads and draws crowds where ever I go.

Ford recalls 277,000 Super Duty trucks over foggy rear-view camera
Thu, Sep 1 2022Ford has issued a recall that applies to around 277,000 units of the Super Duty pickup built between the 2017 and 2020 model years. The campaign also includes about 13,000 units of the Lincoln Continental, and it aims to fix an issue that makes the rear-view camera foggy. Assigned recall number 22V-644 by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall includes 139,131 units of the F-250, 109,960 units of the F-350, 14,830 units of the F-450, and 13,119 units of the Continental. The affected trucks are all fitted with the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera system and were built between November 12, 2015, and March 10, 2020, while the affected Lincoln models are equipped with the 360-degree camera and were made from November 30, 2015 to March 10, 2020. Ford explains "degradation of the coating on an internal rear-view camera lens can lead to a progressively foggy or cloudy image." It adds ultraviolet radiation causes the problem and that this issue increases the risk of an accident, though it's not aware of accidents or injuries. Owners of affected cars and trucks who have already paid to get the issue fixed have until September 30, 2022, to ask Ford for a refund. The company will begin notifying customers about the recall by mail on September 12, 2022, and it will ask them to take their vehicle to the nearest authorized dealer to get the rear-view camera replaced free of charge. 2015 F-150 launch to curb Ford profits?
Thu, 30 Jan 2014Ford is making a big bet on aluminum with its new 2015 F-150, and it's possible that the decision will hurt the company financially, at least in the short term. After earning a record $8.6 billion in 2013, the Blue Oval does not expect to set another record in 2014. According to Automotive News, that's "largely attributable to F Series," says Bob Shanks, Ford's Chief Financial Officer.
To retool for the new F-150, Ford will idle its Dearborn Truck Plant in Michigan for 11 weeks and the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant in Missouri for 2 weeks. "3 of the 13 overall weeks occur during what normally is our summer shutdown timeframe," said Mike Levine, Ford Trucks Communication Manager, in an email to Autoblog. The extra 10 weeks will be preparing for the more aluminum-intensive construction for the trucks and will mean over 2 months of no F-150s being made. For comparison's sake, Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne just confirmed that the 200 plant in Sterling Heights, MI will be down for 30 days to retool for the new model, but obviously there are many more F-150 production variables than for the midsize sedan.
Levine notes that Ford is already running three shifts at both plants, and says the automaker has plans to ensure that there is adequate supply of the full-size pickups during the retooling process. The company does not want to suffer a shortage of the vehicle that accounted for 31-percent of its 2013 US sales and an even bigger percentage of its profits.
Ford Focus ST checks into Jay Leno's Garage
Mon, 23 Sep 2013In a change of pace from the high-end vehicles that often appear in Jay Leno's Garage, Ford sends its hottest hatchback (in the US, at least), the 252-horsepower Focus ST, to be featured on Leno's show. Accompanying the five-door hatch is its chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi.
Riding on stylish 18-inch wheels with summer tires and with a spoiler that doubles as a lunch tray, Hameedi and Leno walk us through the finer points of what makes the ST special, which also includes bigger brakes, torque vectoring, a manual transmission and, of course, 252 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is made possible by 21 psi of turbocharged boost.
Watch the video below to see what Leno thinks of the global Focus ST.
