hello! i have had this 59 convertible for around 10 years, working now and then. i just found and purchased a super nice original 59 convertible, and am selling this one. this is a very solid texas car with lots work done with more to go.turqouis bottom, white top. it can have the frame off restoration that was started finished, or just made into a real nice quality driver type. the body is still just loosely bolted to the frame. i have loosely bolted many items together just for ease of transportation and getting the car running and moving. the frame, motor, transmission, suspension have all been rebuilt. there are many nos parts used in this process. the brakes are all redone, even nos drums, but still need lines and hoses. frame blasted and painted very nice. the tires are also new but are a little dulled from setting.the car runs and moves fine. it is a 352 4bbl cruisomatic. there is a complete new dual exhaust system included as pictured. you might notice various diffrerent colored parts, dash, body, interior etc. the best possible parts were used to make the project easier. the body is very solid. the rockers had outer rust only, and were replaced with nos ford rockers. there were some other smaller typical rust areas repaired, and still needs dents and dings and typical minor body work. the right front and rear floor boards need extremely minor repairs, the majority being excellent original. you can see from the under side pics of the car it retains most of its original paint underneath. the stainless and chrome are all very nice restorable parts. the fenders need simple typical patches at bottom. excellent hood. doors rust free, minor damage on right door. needs most glass but i have an excellent windshield. super nice roof assembly. i am very peticular about hard to find parts. all convertible parts are on or with car, including the top switch. i have the correct ignition and trunk key with nice trunk 500 lettering. front door panels with trim there are probably numerous small pcs that might be missing, but i have many extra parts to with the car. there is a new top, a complete power brake setup and many other parts. study pictures and ask questions. this will make a fine car to finish to any level. zero and low number bidders must contact me first or i will cancel bids. will gladly help overseas buyers thanks!

Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.
