Hello and thank you for looking at my auction.

Up for auction today is my very clean 2002 Ford Focus ZX5 with very low miles.  This ZX5 is in great condition and has just PASSED MARYLAND INSPECTION.  As you can see, this is a gorgeous vehicle.  It is finished in Gray and the paint on this ZX5 looks great.  It has a mile deep shine and looks good from any angle.  There are a few small imperfections in the finish and a black scrape on the front bumper, but it looks great overall.  All of the body lines are smooth and even.  All of the glass and lenses are intact.  The alloy wheels show very well and are wrapped in a matching set of tires with deep and even tread all around.  Please take your time and review each of the photos carefully.

The interior of this ZX5 is in good condition for its age and mileage.  The gray leather interior compliments well with the gray exterior and shows well.  The dash is clean and has no cracks, faded spots or excessive wear.  The carpets also show well throughout the interior.  The door panels are clean and intact.  The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly.  The seats are clean and comfortable.  The cargo area is also clean and well kept.  This ZX5 comes with the original owners manual as well as one set of keys with remote.  The climate control system works properly.  The original radio and speakers work well and sound great.  This ZX5 has been well loved and cared for.

Mechanically, this ZX5 is in great running and driving condition.  The 1989cc DOHC engine starts easily and runs smoothly.  There are no leaks and the engine does not smoke.  The suspension is nice and tight as it should be.  The steering feels neutral and responsive.  The brakes are strong and stop this ZX5 with no problems (new front brakes and rotors).  Her road manners are excellent.  The engine keeps proper temperature and oil pressure at all times.  There have been no warning lights on.  She drives down the road confidently and feels solid.  The engine makes good power and gets EXCELLENT GAS MILEAGE.  The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts as it should.  Out on the highway, this ZX5 cruises effortlessly.  She goes straight down the road with no complaints and can be driven with ease.  Pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle.  Please take the time to read this entire description.  This vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability.

Thanks for looking and good luck biding.

Ford F-Series Super Duty prototype reduced to smoldering mess of aluminum and steel [UPDATE]

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

The most important bit of information you need to know after looking through our high-res gallery of images depicting a prototype 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup truck burning to the ground is that nobody was hurt. There were two engineers inside the vehicle when it caught fire, and both exited to safety.
That's the good news. The bad news is that the truck, which appears to have been testing in Death Valley, appears to be a total loss, minus, of course, whatever information Ford can glean from the conflagration - particularly tracing it back to its root cause. Besides that, we're also expecting the body of the next Super Duty to be hewn from aluminum, as is the case with its smaller brother, the brand-new F-150. Note the little aluminum droppings littering the roadway as apparent proof of that.
Our spy photographers report that it took just 21 minutes for the F-Series Super Duty to burn completely to the ground. The fire appears to have started in the driver-side front wheel well, spreading to engulf the entire front end in three minutes. We can't confirm the source of the blaze, but we're curious if the car's black vinyl cladding, meant to obscure the secrets within, contributed to the fire.

Ford C-Max spied with fresh updates

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

The Ford C-Max hatchback looks to be getting a few cosmetic updates, as evidenced in this latest set of spy photos. Like the smaller Focus, which also received a nip/tuck for the 2015 model year, the C-Max appears to be getting a revised front fascia with slimmer headlamps and a more, shall we say, Aston Martin-like grille. Around back, there looks to be a new bumper with redesigned taillamps, as well.
In other markets, the C-Max people-mover is available with a range of powertrains, but here in the US, it exists either as a traditional gas-electric or plug-in hybrid. The C-Max's fuel economy has been a particular topic of interest lately, with its official fuel economy ratings having been lowered twice since the vehicle's launch. Sales initially suffered a bit following this fiasco, though numbers have since leveled out. It's unclear if Ford is working on any powertrain tweaks for the updated C-Max seen here, however.
Ford has likely spruced up the hatch's interior, as well, though we don't have photos of that at this time. Mum's the word on when we'll see the new C-Max, but our best guess is that it'll arrive sometime in the next year.

Inside Ford's high-tech climate chamber

Sat, Dec 27 2014

There are two ways an automaker can test its vehicles in extreme climates: it can send said vehicle around the world – from Death Valley to the Arctic Circle – in search of the harshest weather, or it can recreate those conditions in an enclosed environment. We're sure that many automakers undertake some combination of both, but in this latest video clip, Ford shows us around inside it's state-of-the-art climate chamber. At its Driveability Test Facility in Allen Park, MI – inaugurated in 2010 just across the street from the Roush Technology Center – Ford can simulate all sorts of extreme conditions. It can drop the temperature down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit or raise it up to 130, and take it up to a simulated 12,000 feet above sea level or drop it down to 280 feet below. blast it with 150-mile-per-hour winds. It can control the level of humidity, approximate the intensity of the sun and even blast the test vehicle with artificial snow, just like your favorite ski resort. The facility strikes us as an engineering feat as impressive as some of the vehicles it's used to test, but don't take our word for it – scope it out for yourself in this brief two-minute video clip, which even includes some helpful tips for winter driving this holiday season and beyond.
