RELIST DUE TO A NONPAYING BIDDER. PLEASE DONT BID IF YOU CANT MAKE THE REQUIRED $100 WITHIN 24 HOURS AND PAY/PICKUP WITHIN 7 DAYS. THANKS. Hi for sale is a used 2000 ford focus zx3 with a clean title, automatic and it runs and drives. This was my sons car until he bought one from the dealer, I used it for a few months and now I have no room in my yard. 166,697 miles, need works but nothing major, all can be done in one weekend if your ok with repairing cars. I will list this once as needing repairs because I don't have the time or the room for it. If it doesn't sell I will fix everything and relist it in fully running condition. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence, I don't misrepresent my items and I've been on ebay over a decade with perfect feedback. The car needs a tie rod on the front right side, valve cover gasket, emergency brake needs adjusting. It has a pioneer stereo CD player with Bluetooth and remote, needs o2 sensor but I will include that just screw it in, easy to access. Starts every time, just needs work. Needs one exhaust hanger in the back, scratches and scrapes for this year car due to age and normal wear and tear. Windshield has a small crack, hood and fender have a dent from when I hit a deer but I pulled it out some, it was a backup car so I didn't think I needed to repair it. Front two tires are ok, he put two newer tires on the rear. The headlights have halo rings around them and the fog lights are hyper white, super bright. This car needs a few minor things to pass inspection, don't let this stop you from getting a good deal. Fix it and drive it, I drove it this way for awhile and now I don't need it. Some of the rims don't have he caps, truck latch closes but needs slight adjustment, comes with key and remote, power locks, manual windows. He put mirrors with turn signals on them but the lights aren't connected to power. Has ac but needs to be charged. Needs some light bulbs/wring and high beams don't work due to him changing to aftermarket lights but that can all be fixed. No reserve and no neg/zero feedback bidders please. Any questions please email me, you're welcome to see the car before you bid. Deposit by paypal of $100 within 24 hours of you winning or I will relist it to make sure you're serious about the purchase. Car can be driven home with your plates but the tie rod knocks some when driven so you might want to trailer it. Good luck! Again this is a used car, if you're not ok with fixing it please don't bid then leave me my first negative. I'm honest and really need the room. I have six cars with room for four, so two of them are on the grass. I work a lot and don't want to mess with them anymore. If I find the repair manual, it's yours. I can also tell you how to fix everything I mentioned above and you can get the parts from any local auto parts store. Thanks.

Ford to cease Australian automaking operations after 90 years
Thu, 23 May 2013Ford began manufacturing cars in Australia in 1925 with the Model T. In 2016, Ford will stop manufacturing cars Down Under, including the Falcon and the Territory SUV. Ford Australia CEO Bob Graziano has reportedly confirmed the closure of the company's Broadmeadows assembly plant and the Geelong engine plant, both in the state of Victoria. There will be 650 jobs lost at Broadmeadows, 510 sacrificed at Geelong. Of the roughly 3,000 workers the Blue Oval has in Australia, it's said it will try to retain about 1,000 of them at its R&D and product development facilities.
The writing hasn't just been on the wall, it's been a regular item in all the papers and on Ford's bottom line for years. As recently as 2003, Ford sold nearly 75,000 Falcons, but over the next four years, annual sales dropped by something like 10,000 units, and over the last two years, it has sold less than 20,000 per year. It isn't only Ford that has suffered - sales of the other large, locally produced sedan, the Holden Commodore, have also gone over the precipice, triggering the same kind of angst about Holden's continued existence. Ford is the smallest of Australia's local automakers, Holden and Toyota the others, and has posted losses of $AUD141 million last year ($136M US) and $AUD600 million ($580M US) in the past five years. Graziano said the cost of manufacturing is simply too expensive in the country, twice as high as Europe and three times as high as Asia, and there no way to make a business case for staying in the country.
In January 2012, Ford Australia announced it would stay in the country until at least 2016, but by July of the same year, most outside observers were quietly declaring that 2016 would be the last year of Ford Down Under, and even the speculation was making other observers nervous. Ford received money from the Victorian government last year to aid its refresh of the Falcon and Territory, which will continue on schedule for the 2014 model year. A front- and all-wheel-drive sedan on a global platform is predicted to replace the Falcon, with some other SUV expected to replace the Territory. The company says it still intends to expand its lineup in the country.
Editors’ Picks October 2022 | Electric trucks and some excellent SUVs
Wed, Nov 2 2022This month sees a bevy of totally new or totally redesigned cars gain Editors’ Pick status. Important EVs like the F-150 Lightning and GMC Hummer EV quickly jump into the list, and they do so with authority, as all our editors love these trucks. The Range Rover is always a superb experience, and this generation proves to be no different. Plus, the new generation of Kia Sportage continues to surprise and impress. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, hereÂ’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in October that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 GMC Hummer EV The Four-Wheel-Steer system lets the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup m View 17 Photos Quick take: The Hummer amazes as an electric supertruck with its wild acceleration, incredible off-road capability, luxuriousness and epic utility. It's far from a "green" eco-friendly vehicle, but that's not the point of this technological powerhouse. Score: 8.5 What it competes with: Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Raptor R, Ram 1500 TRX Pros: Stupid quick, tons of tech, off-road capability in spades Cons: Not efficient, annoying in tight spaces, price From the editors: Road Test Editor Zac Palmer — "I don't think I've driven a more ridiculous vehicle this year, but that's sort of the point with the Hummer. There's a great argument against this sort of EV in that it doesn't live up to being an efficient and planet-friendly vehicle, but hey, that's not the point. The Hummer EV is a supertruck and wild technological masterpiece for off-roading in the same way that a mid-engine supercar is to track performance. It's not meant to be the EV everybody drives to work and back (mostly because few can afford it), but it serves as a line in the sand of what can be done with electric off-road trucks. This pickup rules, and if you can afford one, you're going to love it." Senior Editor, Green John Beltz Snyder — "This Hummer revival is a showcase of technology and capability on the part of GM, making it an absolute blast to drive and a joy to use.
Ford's struggles in China continue as November sales drop 8 percent
Mon, Dec 11 2017Ford's sales in China fell 8 percent in November from a year ago, following a 5 percent decline in October, the U.S. automaker said on Monday. The firm's sales in the first 11 months of the year totaled 1.06 million vehicles, down 6 percent from the same period a year ago. Ford's China sales growth has lagged behind rivals in the world's top auto market this year, with the carmaker now looking to overhaul its strategy to revive growth in China under new chief executive Jim Hackett. Among other moves, the review of its China operations will likely see Ford focus on segments such as electric cars and electric commercial vans, with China encouraging to help clean up its polluted and congested city centers. Ford is looking to roll out more new-energy vehicles for China and is planning to experiment with a more direct selling approach in a partnership with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.
