Blue V-8 Convertible Daily Driver Automatic Transmission on 2040-cars
Calera, Oklahoma, United States

I have had the car about 15 years and am second owner after first owners family (first titled in Arkansas). Always garaged during my time, selling to start another project. Car has been in Oklahoma, Arkansas or Texas since built (little rust). Two V-8 donor cars (1963 falcon and 1964 Mercury Comet) were used to replace most components to V-8 standards: wheels are 14 inch, front and rear suspension, rear axle, steering box and column are from V-8 cars as well as engine and 3 speed C-4 automatic transmission. Aluminum radiator. Engine was rebuilt several years ago with about 2,000 miles on it. Runs great. Edelbrock 4 bbl carb and intake manifold. Exhaust headers with professionally installed flowmaster dual exhaust chrome tip. Transmission is C-4; I took this to my transmission guy for check out-he said it is in good shape, resealed and changed oil, shifts a little slowly when cold. If I was going to keep the car I would have transmission gone thru. I found no rust in body panels but floor pans had pinhole rust thru-fixed unprofessionally. Paint was professional but after 7 years has some bubbles. Top is good with clear rear window. Complete air conditioning system is included but not installed-never got around to it. Inside unit is from 1964 comet, I had it checked out, sealed up-works perfectly. Balance of system includes mounting brackets, hoses (use for size-you will need new hoses), transition thru firewall is new, dryer and condenser is there (but you will need these new), also two compressors (sold to me as rebuilt units). Windshield has wiper scratch, all other glass is great. Car could use a new front seat cover back on drivers side, rest of interior is great. $500 deposit thru paypal immediatly after auction ends-non refundable, final payment within 7 days by money wire or cash all funds to be clear before car leaves. Mileage is unknown.

FCA to pay buyers $1,700 to swap out of scandal-mired VWs
Tue, Oct 6 2015FCA is trying to gain some sales from arch-rival VW in the competitive European market by offering potential buyers in Italy up to $1,700 to swap into an FCA group car. While the promotion isn't specifically targeted at TDI owners affected by the emissions scandal, it is clearly intended to turn dissatisfaction with VW's defeat device cheat into additional sales, Bloomberg reports. The 500-1,500 euro incentive (roughly $560-1,700, depending on vehicle) stacks on top of any other rebates or deals applicable, and applies if a buyer brings in any of Volkswagen Group's cars – including Audi, Skoda, and SEAT, among (many) others. As Bloomberg notes, it's normal for automakers to offer "conquest" deals – giving a buyer cash for trading in a competitor's vehicle. Those deals aren't usually limited to one company's products, however; FCA's program looks specifically to take advantage of VW's legal and public relations nightmare. FCA isn't the only automaker trying this trick in Italy. Automotive News Europe also reported that Ford is offering approximately $840 in incentives across its entire range to owners of VW vehicles seeking to trade in for a Ford. No word of yet as to whether these incentives will spread beyond Italy or to other automakers.Related Video:
