1967 Ford Fairlane 500XL Ranchero Barn Find!! This survivor is pretty well all original except the hood has been changed( original hood was in bed as picture shows and comes with the car and is in fair shape itself) All the trim package is on car, and is fairly good shape. The interior is original worn condition and seat is in good condition. Also as picture show it comes with complete set of 6 floor pans( cost about $600)..picture shows where someone started to put patch panels in floor. The ranchero has a 289V8 automatic with power steering and disc brakes. The side glass and back glass are crack free but does need windshield replaced. Not sure if rims are original or maybe old mustang rims. The ranchero runs and shifts good, but probably needs to have gas tank cleaned(when we pulled it out we used gas jug to crank it) probably needs brake work, it slows down but not to a quick stop. The car has normal rust in places, tried to take pictures of that and also as you can see in pics..the front bed plate near cab is rusted and needs work. The car has not been cleaned up, neither has chrome or trim its in found shape tho we did water hose it down on outside. You don't see to many of these around, would make great project car for someone. Thanks for looking..if you have any questions just shoot me a message.

Ford, GM to collaborate on 9- and 10-speed transmissions
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Back in October, there were reports that General Motors and Ford Motor Company were hard at work co-developing new nine- and ten-speed automatic transmissions, and now both automakers have confirmed this joint operation. While there are no specific vehicles mentioned to receive either transmission, a collaborative press release issued by GM and Ford mention that the transmission will be designed for front- and rear-wheel-drive cars, crossovers, trucks and SUVs.
These aren't the first powertrain components developed jointly between these cross-town rivals, either. The six-speed automatic currently used in vehicles like the Ford Edge, Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Equinox was engineered in a similar fashion. As is the case with this existing transmission, both automakers will assist in the design, development and testing of the new transmissions, but each will build its own units in its own factories. Scroll down for the official press release.
Mustang driver proves wheels are overrated
Mon, 21 Apr 2014We don't need to tell you that there's something missing in the image above. What we do need to tell you is that this is not a picture of a parked car stranded on the highway. This is, rather, just one frame from video of that three-wheeled Mustang traveling down the highway at highway-appropriate speed.
We don't know where you'd have to be nor how badly you'd have to be there to go shooting down the freeway in a car with three wheels, but if the New Daily News is correct, that place is somewhere in Texas. The video's short, but you'll have plenty of time to shake your head at it by just scrolling down.
