This is the one 6.0 diesel you don't have to worry about!  It has had all the upgrades done and is ready to work for you for another 200,000 miles. Reserve is set well below Blue Book value, so don't miss out!

Runs quiet and smooth like it should, with only 261 miles on the upgrade/rebuild. Mileage will go up as we are driving it and enjoying it.

The 6.0 was rebuilt from top to bottom, starting with the Strictly Diesel Master Kit, which included the following items:

The base Strictly Diesel 6.0L "Master Kitฎ" includes all of the following:

    • (1) Set of Head Gaskets

    • (1) Set of ARP Head Studs
    • (1) Complete EGR Delete Kit
    • (1) Oil Cooler Rebuild Kit incl. New High Pressure Pump Screen
    • (1) Complete Intake Gasket Set
        • New Intake Gaskets
        • EGR Cooler to Up-Pipe Gasket
        • EGR Cooler to Intake Manifold Gasket
        • Intake Manifold to Front Cover O-Ring
        • Complete Set of Injector O-Rings
        • Intake Elbow and EGR Throttle Plate O-Rings
        • Turbo Oil Feed and Drain Tube O-Rings and Gasket
        • EGR Coolant Feed Housing O-Ring
        • EGR Valve O-Rings and Gasket
    • (1) Exhaust Manifold Gasket Set
    • (1) New Oil Filter

All gasket, O-Rings and belts were replaced. I'm sure there are many things I'm forgetting, so just give us a shout and we'll go over the truck with you.  It has been redone from top to bottom.

Each and every piece of this motor was removed, cleaned and checked before reassembling.  It is now the motor that it was meant to be!  This is one tough engine that you can rely on!

Transmission shifts smooth, just like it should.

Truck runs and drives like a dream.

Tires are fair and will need replaced soon.  Aren't completely worn out, but will need tires at a later date.

Truck has gooseneck hitch installed, with v gate tailgate.

The previous owner got the gooseneck into the back edge of the bed, on the top of the bed rails, so you can see some very minor dents there.  Does  not affect the truck at all.

This is the work truck model, so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but she's a work horse

This unique '64 Mustang was Edsel Ford II's first car

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

You probably had the same dream when you were a teenager. Your sixteenth birthday is coming up, or Christmas, or maybe both, and all you want is a muscle car to call your own. That dream has come true for some, and one of them was none other than Edsel Ford II.
Henry Ford's great grandson turned 16 on December 27, 1964 - two days after Christmas and eight months after the original Mustang went on sale. And that's just what was waiting for him in the driveway, courtesy of his father (and reigning chief executive) Henry Ford II.
The specially-prepared pony car had a pearlescent cream paintjob with narrow blue racing stripes, functional hood scoop, chrome trim, Euro-spec fender-mounted mirrors, a blue leather and aluminum interior, a monogrammed fuel cap... and a 289-cubic-inch V8 under the hood.

Ford 'working very hard' on F-150 hybrid

Thu, Dec 4 2014

The lighter, aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 gets (at best) 26 miles per gallon. That's not bad for a truck that size – and we should always remember that improving gas guzzlers can make a big difference ย– but what if the popular truck came with a gas-electric hybrid powertrain? How efficient would that be? We heard Ford talking about such a vehicle last year, and now we learn that Ford is still "working very hard" to make a F-150 hybrid happen. You want details? Well, we all want details, but those will not be coming for quite some time. Last year, Ford's global product development chief, Raj Nair, said that the company was planning to have hybrid pickups and hybrid SUVs on sale by 2020. With fuel prices dropping, Nair is now saying that a hybrid F-150 makes more sense, financially, than a diesel, but Ford could make both options available, depending on customer demand. The diesel wouldn't require all that much work, Nair said, since "we've got diesels in the portfolio." To date, the only hybrid F-150s we've seen have been conversions, often PHEVs, like this example from HVET or this one from Quantum. Pickup trucks from other manufacturers haven't been greeted with huge sales numbers. General Motors stopped making its big two-mode hybrids and cancelled the next-gen program.
