selling my 2005 ford f-250 4x4 lariat fx4 . bought this truck 2 years ago in february from north texas truck stop. it was a one owner truck at that time with 110000 miles. i added the 18x10 american racing wheels, 325/65r18 attitude mt tires and 2.5 inch lift at 114000 miles. also added the egr bolt on style fender flares and aries bull bar. i had the bully dog triple dog tuner installed at about 125000 miles. standard features include adjustable break and throttle pedals, built in trailer brake control, 6 cd player, rear backup sensor, and everything else that goes with the lariat package. i would rate the truck at least a 9  out of 10. the tail gate has a dent on the inside panel, can not see from outside.the bull bar has a couple dent in it, these are very flimsy, (see photos). the windshield has a crack on the drivers side about 3 inches up from dash and from the middle all the way back to cab pillar. paint is shiny and in good shape, very few dings or scratches. tires are at 50 to 60%, have always kept them rotated every other oil change . this truck has always been my baby so taken very good care of. the truck does have a lien holder, (my local bank). best thing would be to pick truck up during their business hours and buyer be present. they said when we pay off loan they can have the title released immediatly with computer on line. i should have the title in 10 days-2 weeks and sign it over to buyer and send certified mail. if you're wanting a truck like this or thinking about building one similar to this this is the truck. everything is already done and i'm sitting the reserve well below nada value when all the upgrades are considered. i just bought a 2000 f-350 2wd dually for pulling my camper, if i were wealthy i would not sell this truck, but am not and do not need two. bid with confidence.

Ford reserving 50th Anniversary Mustangs for service members

Tue, Dec 16 2014

Think getting your hands on one of the 1,964 50th Anniversary Ford Mustangs is hard as a civilian? Imagine how tough it might be for the Mustang fanatics in our nation's military. Perhaps recognizing this fact, Ford Emerging Market Services and the Overseas Military Sales Corporation (the only Ford-authorized retailer on the military's bases) ran a raffle, with the winners receiving the opportunity to purchase one of the limited-edition muscle cars. Ford EMS and OMS received 300 entries to the raffle, although with only eight 50th Anniversary Stangs to hand out, we imagine there were quite a lot of disappointed soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. "We are pleased to offer limited-edition anniversary Mustangs to members of our military through our Military Appreciation Program, and we are delighted at the response it's receiving," Doug Walczak, EMS' fleet sales manager, said. The first Mustang was delivered to Army Maj. Del Boyer, shown above. While Maj. Boyer took delivery in New York, the raffle was open to servicemembers both at home and abroad.

Weekly Recap: Marchionne's Manifesto again calls for industry consolidation

Sat, May 2 2015

Sergio Marchionne isn't taking no for an answer. Despite public rebuffs from General Motors and Ford, the leader of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continues to push for consolidation within the auto industry. His latest assertion came Wednesday when he said a combination of FCA with another automaker could net savings of $5 billion or more annually. No, this isn't about selling his company, he claimed, it's about cutting costs. Put simply, the auto industry wastes money, Marchionne said during FCA's earnings conference call. Companies invest billions to develop basic components that all cars use, but many consumers don't care how they work or recognize the differences. "About half of this is really relevant in terms of positioning the car in the marketplace," he said. "The other half, in our view, is stuff which is neither visible to the consumer nor is it relevant to the consumer." In 2014, top automakers spent more than $100 million on product development, FCA estimated. Marchionne said consolidation could save up to $1 billion on powertrains alone, noting that almost every automaker offers four- and six-cylinder engines. Not everyone has to make their own, he contended. "The consumer could not give a flying leap whose engines we are using because they are irrelevant to the buying decision." That's pretty provocative for enthusiasts, but less so for average consumers. Still, there are major differences in power and efficiency ratings, even among similar engines. Skeptics could argue consolidation would also weaken competition and reduce choices for car buyers. Marchionne stressed his presentation, curiously entitled Confessions of a Capital Junkie, wouldn't require closing factories or dealerships. It's not his final "big deal" as CEO, intent to sell FCA, or a way to elevate his company up the automotive food chain. He claims he wants to fundamentally change the industry and its habit for burning cash. "The horrible part about this, and the thing that I find most offensive, is that the capital consumption rate is duplicative," he said. "It doesn't deliver real value to the consumer and it is in its purest form, economic waste." 2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.
