I have for sale a 1997 Ford F250HD. This truck is being sold as a parts truck. I have a clear title in hand and if you would like to have the title under your name I am willing to send it in and have it changed over to my name and then to yours. If there are any questions regarding this please ask before bidding. Now to start with the truck. I bought this truck to fix another wrecked truck. I took the front end including all body parts the radiator and the AC condensor off the front along with the front radiator support along with all of the lights. Other than that the rest is there. I drove the truck before taking it apart and the transmission shifted great through all of the gears. The transfer case also worked fine along with all of the 4X4 drive train. As you can tell by the pictures I have parted out some other parts of the truck. Most of the plastic on the inside has been taken off the truck as well as the bed. The seats are all in good condition but the center seat does have a broken lid but other than that it is also in good condition. The wheels on the truck are stock aluminum wheels. The tires on the truck are 70% still in great condition. The hood to the truck is included and has what I belive to be rock dents only because the rest of the truck shows no signs of hail damage. The motor is a 460 with 138000 miles on it. When I bought the truck I was told that it had a blown head gasket. There is water in the oil and I never looked further into the problem. I am selling the truck as a parts truck as stated before. Although I do not ship I would be willing to work out a deal if it has been planned before the end of auction. I do reserve the right to end the auction early due to the vehicle being for sale locally as well. The vehicle does not have a warrenty nore are any applied. If you would like more pictures please feel free to ask. I have tryed to tell you everything i know about the vehicle but im sure i have left something out if you have any questions please feel free to ask. If you are around Wichita and would like to take a look please feel free to send me a message and can work something out.
Thanks for looking!

Road & Track samples rare 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R
Sat, Jun 6 2015The modern performance variant of the Ford Mustang enjoys a long, illustrious history. While well-known examples like the Boss 302, Shelby GT350, and Shelby GT500 get all the attention, the modern versions of these cars may not have been possible had it not been for the three generations of the Cobra R, sold in 1993, 1995, and 2000. Limited to just 250 examples, the second-generation model wasn't as rare as the Fox-body Cobra R that preceded it, but they were still pricey and difficult to acquire. Customers were required to hold a competition license in order to take delivery, and prices were roughly equivalent to $59,000 in today's money. As Road & Track tells it, neither of those facts were a handicap – Ford sold its entire roster of 1995 Cobra Rs in just five days. RT's Jack Baruth managed to score a drive in an extremely low-mileage example of this now-vintage track star. He delivers an interesting look into the way a performance car from two decades ago behaves in today's world, and finds that despite its age, the 1995 Cobra R is still "a true sweetheart." Check out the full feature over at Road & Track. Related Video:
2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility shows up for duty in Chicago
Fri, Feb 13 2015The latest upgrade for the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is all set to patrol the Windy City's streets with its debut at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. On the outside, the revised Ford police vehicle looks basically the same as the recently refreshed Explorer with a new grille and redesigned headlights. Inside, there's a restyled steering wheel and center console. Unlike the civilian model, though, the PI Utility gets heavy-duty brakes, a more robust cooling system, reinforced subframe mounts and larger diameter suspension springs for more strength. Under the hood, police forces get to choose between either a 3.7-liter V6 with 304 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque or a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of twist. Regardless of powertrain, these 'utes feature a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The transmission includes the awesome-sounding Pursuit Mode feature that switches over to more aggressive shifts when it detects harder driving to properly stop crime. Related Video:
Ford finds flex-fuel engine design plays big role in emissions output
Mon, Jan 6 2014How bad is ethanol for your engine? There's been a lot of debate on this issue as the US considers upping the biofuel content in the national gasoline supply from 10 percent (E10) to 15 percent (E15). The ethanol industry and some scientists say higher ethanol blends show no "meaningful differences" in new engines while the oil industry says ethanol creates health risks. Researchers working at the Ford Research and Innovation Center decided to take a closer look at how a wide range of gas-ethanol blends - E0, E10, E20, E30, E40, E55 and E80 - affected the emissions coming out of a flex-fuel 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. To see the full report, printed in the journal Environmental Science & Technology, requires payment, but there is an abstract and Green Car Congress has some more details. The gist is that, "with increasing ethanol content in the fuel, the tailpipe emissions of ethanol, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, methane, and ammonia increased." At least NOx and NMHC emissions decreased. The researchers say that the effects are due to the fuel and "are expected for all FFVs," but that the way that a manufacturer calibrates the engine will affect NOx, THC, and NMOG emissions. It's this last bit that's important, since the researchers found, "Higher ethanol content in gasoline affects several fundamental fuel properties that can impact emissions. ... These changes can have positive or negative effects that can depend on engine design, hardware, and control strategy. In addition to direct emissions impacts, higher ethanol content fuel can also provide more efficient combustion and overall engine operation under part-load conditions and under knock-limited higher-load conditions." So, as we head towards more ethanol in our fuel supply (maybe), manufacturers are going to need to learn how to burn it most efficiently.
