1971 Ford F-250, new paint (original color) P/S P/B air conditioning (not working) 360ci auto, never used as a work truck and that is why it is in such good shape. The bed is perfect. I knew the original owner for twenty years, his mother bought the truck new at a local Ford dealer. Runs and drives nice, although it has a miss, and i am not sure if it is a valve or ignition. I have driven it several times, and it runs cool and does not smoke or burn oil. Give me a call if you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment to see. Shown by appt only.

About Me-

Genesis Classic Motorcars was born from a lifetime love of classic cars. As a former law enforcement officer, I decided to trade the badge for the opportunity to turn my classic car passion into a business. I’m a small dealer located in Southern California. I also deal in some newer vehicles and motorcycles to help pay the bills, but my heart is in classic cars. The autos that I purchase for sale are cars that I would purchase for myself. I use the same standards for purchasing cars for resale that I would apply if I were purchasing the vehicle to keep for myself. In fact, sometimes I do keep them. =)

Ex-PR chief Vines accuses Ford of bugging cars, phones

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Jason Vines, former head of communications at Ford among other automakers, is accusing the Blue Oval of bugging his company phone and his car during the Firestone tire recall for the Explorer in 2001. The allegations have come to light in Vines' upcoming book What Did Jesus Drive? Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.
According to The Detroit News, which has an advance copy of the book, Vines (pictured above) claims that after leaving the company, someone with security within Ford advised him that he had been bugged around the time of the recall. The allegations don't stop there, though. Vines further contends that he might not have been the only one to get this treatment, noting that then-general counsel John Rintamaki also believed he was being listened to.
According to The Detroit News, even if it had been a company phone, recording Vines without his knowledge still would have been a felony under Michigan law.

China's woes sandbag Detroit automakers

Sun, Jul 19 2015

Through the first six months of this year, China's auto market is actually up 8.4 percent from the same period in 2014. Still, automakers aren't optimistic after June's 3.2 percent dip in year-over-year sales. Last month marked the first drop in China since February 2013, and the decline could extend through the coming months, which is a concern according to a number of analysts. In Detroit, General Motors might take the brunt of the damage, but Ford could feel some heat too. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is already responding to the June dip by predicting annual sales to grow only three percent this year, rather than seven percent that had been predicted earlier in the year, according to The Detroit News. Ford and GM will both release their second quarter earnings before the end of July, and those figures will give the industry a much better idea about the automakers' performance in China. Due to China's massive growth, both Ford and GM have made significant investments there. In 2014, GM announced $14 billion to make the country a focal point, including a goal of 5 million annual sales. Ford, for its part, opened 88 new Chinese dealers in one day alone last year. It has also been working to grow Lincoln since the brand's launch in 2014.The Detroit News took a much deeper look into Detroit's exposure in China, with the overall gist being that we're all uncertain about how things are going to shake out. Some industry analysts feel this is just a temporary blip, while other are much more worried. If you have any interest in the auto market there or its affect on the Big Three, the piece is well worth a read. Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
