1969 Ford F-250 Styleside; 2nd owner; Good Mechanical Condition 390 V-8

Up for bid or buy it now is my father-in-laws pickup. It is a 1968 Ford F-250. He is the second owner. He bought if from Ralph Loseing in Miles City Montana in 1975. The pickup is in good working condition and could be used as a daily driver. As you will note it has a total of 183,283 miles on it. However, he had the motor which originally was a 360 V-8 overhauled into a 390 at 118,150 miles. During the overhaul he upgraded the push rods to A-Frame type (heavier duty). He also put in a high performance clutch and a high performance alternator. Over time he has rebuilt the transfer case, rebuilt brakes, and put new king pins in. Overall, he as always kept it in good mechanical condition and it is ready to go. It has been kept in a covered location for most if its life. (In the barn or carport)

As you will note from the pictures it has some rust in the normal areas of this vintage of pickup. It also was used as a daily driver and shows the basic wear and tear of a pickup of that age, but overall is in very solid condition and would work to drive or would be great for someone who wanted to restore it without having to do major things.

How that awesome Mustang R/C car chase vid was made

We've reported on a few R/C car chase videos in the past. One in particular that stands out as a favorite is Zach King's "The Cliché RC Action Chase." It featured a pair of Ford Mustang coupes racing through a cardboard city, plowing into outdoor patios and busting through construction zones. It was wonderfully creative and fun to watch, yet we know there was more to its creation than a bunch of guys fooling around with a camera one afternoon.
Turns out we were right, as evidenced by this video produced by Ford that takes us behind the scenes of Zach's creation. The young filmmaker explains why he chose the Mustang to star in his video, as well as how the cardboard sets were created, what equipment they used for shooting and what it was like when his video went viral. Ford found the young filmmaker and produced the followup as part of its Mustang Countdown video series, which will see a new video about the Mustang culture released every week until the original muscle car's anniversary on April 17, 2014.

2015 Galpin Ford GTR1

Last year in Monterey, we met GTR1 for the first time. Galpin Auto Sports pulled the wraps off its Ford GT-based supercar, powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.4-liter V8 good for a whopping 1,024 horsepower and 739 pound-feet of torque. The thing was totally custom-made and reportedly took some 12,000 man hours to create. And there it sat on the Pebble Beach grass, $1,000,000-plus price tag and all.
This year, the Galpin was back, albeit with one big change. That twin-turbo engine? Gone. In its place, a 5.4-liter V8 with a 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger bolted on, delivering an astonishing 1,058 hp and 992 lb-ft of torque on 110-octane fuel. 0-60? 2.9 seconds. Top speed? Somewhere above 225 miles per hour.
"Some things to keep in mind: no stability control, no traction control," were the only warnings given by Galpin's Brandon Boeckmann before taking me on a quick spin in the supercar. And after having my eyes thrown into the back of my skull a few times, laughing hysterically and trying to regain full use of my hearing after my ear drums being bombarded by the apocalyptic roar behind me, Brandon pulled over and said it was my turn, if I was ready to take the wheel.
